This is a port for Huggle and AutoWikiBrowser to Mac OS using a Wine wrapper. This is a self-contained application and is all you need to run Huggle or AWB with this download. Help with testing the application would be helpful. If you test please let me know!
Note
[edit]I have tested Huggle fairly extensively but have not tested AWB very thoroughly. Consider yourself notified!
Frequently Axed Questions
[edit]Why is the application so large?
[edit]Both Huggle and AWB are built using .NET, so they require the .NET Framework, for one. They also requires Mono and a variety of other frameworks. Since a Wine wrapper simulates a self-contained Windows operating system, all of the support files are required for the application to run. This adds up very fast. In the future I hope that the file size can be trimmed down. If you have any experience with this, please help us!
How do I safely close?
[edit]You should not use the Quit option from the menu as your normally would as this prevents Huggle or AWB from doing their normal close-down operations. Use the exit method from within the application and the wrapper should close when the application has finished its shutdown routine.
How do I fix the Huggle log at bottom?
[edit]If your Huggle action log normally seen at the bottom is not visible, simply resize the window smaller then larger again. This should reveal the log area.
To do
[edit]- Done
Un-install IE8 - seems not to actually be required, and it prevents main system browser from instead being invoked (which is better) - Find out why IRC might not be working - possibly missing libraries
