Grand Slam beauty pageants are the world's eight most important annual beauty contests, consisting of four female and four male competitions. It was first mentioned in 1999 by "Global Beauties" a Brazilian beauty pageant web portal run by "Henrique Fontes" the Miss Brazil CNB organizer.
History
[edit]In 2012, Miss Earth was removed from the Grand Slam contest by Global beauties claimed the competition result can be bought according to the published report of Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda which reveals a media of the pageant president, Lorraine Schuck, states that receiving USD 4 million is acceptable in exchange for the Miss Earth title.ref Ref
