Who is Adam Artis? There are several theories as to who this person is. Below are several theories as to who he is and his past. Below that are a few fact that are known about Adam.

The Creature of Prophecy Theory

Ancient alien civilizations have long spoke of a special creature's coming. They Believed that once that creature was born and mature he would sail the Milky Way to the center of the universe and enter the supermassive black hole and take his place on the throne there and rule the universe. However certain things had to take place and certain events had to occur before the identity of the creature would be known for sure.

A group of aliens came to our solar system from a star system in the Drago constellation. At first they set their eyes on the planet Mars. At the time Mars had a primitive atmosphere but it didnt have a magnetic field to protect its atmosphere.

So they set their Eyes on planet Earth. However Earth at the time was unsuitable for life as we currently know it. What the aliens did was collide Earth with another planet called Orpheous (also known as Theia and Hephaestus). This created the moon and allowed Earth to become the world that we would eventually know today. Once the planet stabilized they delivered the first organisms to the planet. They hoped that these organisms would eventually evolve into the creature of prophecy. They kept an eye on the planet and studied the life on earth. Unfortunately they judged the current life incorrectly.

Although Earth scientists are unable to prove it, the aliens were responsible for each of the Mass exstinction events that occurred on Earth several million years ago.

They returned about 444 million years ago and judged the sea life unworthy. At the time, most complex multicellular organisms lived in the sea, and around 100 marine families became extinct, covering about 49% of faunal genera (a more reliable estimate than species). The brachiopods and bryozoans were decimated, along with many of the trilobite, conodont and graptolite families.

They returned once again about 364 million years ago and studied they majority of life and the dominant species at the time. Life was starting to take to the land and the aliens believed that in the future life should move to the land so civilizations could develop. The aliens killed off most of the ocean species so that they would not threaten the fish species that were attempting to move to land.

Once again they returned to Earth to check up on life here about 251 million years ago. They saw a lot of potential there but it still wasn't as it should be. They killed 96% of the marine life and 70% of land life.

Once again they returned to Earth to observe their life experiment about 65 million years ago. They were pleased with the dinosaurs but upon closer study they realized that the dinosaurs brains were too small and would never be able to navigate the Milky Way. Although it broke their heart to do so they wiped the dinosaurs out. This allowed the mammals to inherit the Earth.

The aliens had about gave on Earth and were about to send another extinction event our way but they decided to check on us one last time. Fortunately when they arrived they saw early man and studied early man and found him worthy and just might seed the creature of prophecy. Early man is shocked by the alien visitors and creates many of its early religions based on these alien visits. The aliens decide to station themselves on the moon to watch over man and visit every once in a while to gauge the progress of man and look for sign of the arrival of the creature.

At about the time of the peak of the Egyptian civilization the aliens were pleased with mans art and literature and fast understanding of the sciences. They also decided to gather DNA from the greatest humans throughout the ages. They gathered DNA from Ramesses II, Alexander the great, Julius Ceaser, Ghengis Kahn, Atilla, Charlemagne, Charles Martel, and Michelangelo just to name a few. They decided to use the DNA to help make the creature more perfect. Unfortunately the aliens didn't know when the time would be right.

Another problem began to present its self. Many of the aliens had grown impatient and wanted to use the DNA that they were gathering to create the perfect individual. The others believed they should continue to wait until the perfect moment. That would be the only way. Circumstances would have to be perfect so he could sail the Milky Way and survive the supermassive blackhole at the center of the universe to claim his throne. The dissenters were fed up however and left the mothership and set up a station on Mars. There they would experiment with the DNA that the had gathered until a perfect human could be created.

Around this time humans invented the telescope and began looking toward the moon. The aliens knew if they stayed at the moon for much longer that they would eventually be discovered. The remaining faction on the moon split up. One group would set up a station beneath the ocean and the other would move to the moon Titan that orbits Saturn. The one's stationed in the ocean would study the humans and report their findings to the ones stationed on Titan. They observed and studied for hundreds of years. Their rivals from mars also set up a station in the Great Lakes in North America and continued to gather DNA from more humans. They collected from Napoleon and George Washington just to name a couple.

Now we have two different sects with two different ideologies and two different means to carry out these ideologies. You have group 1 that believes that the creature of prophecy will come naturally and believe that now that man has arrived that he should be left alone and this is the only way the creature of prophecy will be born. They have moved their main station to the Saturn moon Titan and have set up a base in the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. We also have group 2 that has become impatient and believes that the creature of prophecy will only come if they continue to interfere. After all they had wiped out several millions of the species of Earth on several occasions. They believe if the continue to gather DNA from the few elite humans that they can use this DNA to create the perfect man in a lab. Their main station is on Mars and have set up a station on Earth at the bottom of the Great Lakes in North America.

There is however a long forgotten piece of the of the prophecy that there is not a creature but..two creatures. They will eventually have to face each other for the title of Godhood.

Time on Earth went by as it should. Group 2 continued to collect the DNA they deemed important while group one continued to watch and study. For the most part they went unnoticed. A few people did catch sight of them but they remained out of sight enough that only a few people were sure that they saw something and even fewer believed them.

Eventually a meeting between the two families of Tippie and Artis happened. Both were great and proud yet humble families. Dean of the Artis family and Rochelle of the Tippie family reproduced and had two children, a boy and a girl. However it was their first born named ADAM that caught the attention of the Alien Visitors. The aliens visited him at night and studied him while he slept and once they realized that he had the potential to be the creature of prophecy they began to teach him their knowledge through his dreams. As a child he understood things faster and better than his peers. The aliens realized one dreadful fact early in Adam's teachings, a persons life span is much too short to gain a full understanding of the alien knowledge. They had to somehow slow his aging so he could take in all the knowledge and experience needed to sail the Milky Way to the super massive blackhole at the center of the universe.

The second group learned that the first had found who they believed to be the creature of prophecy and decided that now was the time to use all their DNA collected and knowledge from their tests to create the perfect human before the other could attempt to sail the Milky Way. They created the perfect human and named it Ely. They too placed him in chambers that blasted him with their knowledge.

Back on Earth the alien visiters had a decision to make. They needed to alter Adam's DNA so he would age slower and be able to learn and retain the alien knowledge and be able to sail the Milky Way. The aliens had to reveal themselves to Adam's parents and explain to them his cosmic destiny. Fortunately his parents understood that this is more important than anything they could truly understand. The aliens took him to their ocean base and and placed him in a specialized chamber and fed him a specific amount of radiation and chemicals until his DNA was altered so he would age much slower than the average person. They nursed him back to health then his training began. To keep up appearances back in Houston where he currently lived they replaced him with a mental projection of Adam. People thought they were actually talking to him, touching him, hugging him, and even kissing him, but it was just signals projected into their minds. Adam spent 5 years on the base learning from his alien mentors. They decided to give him a break and let him return to his home for a short period to enjoy human life before he would end up spending lifetimes continuing his learning.

The Mars rivals learned that Adam had been re-released into his normal life to enjoy Earth life before he continued his grueling training and decided that now would be the time to bring Ely to Earth to confront him. They sent a ship with Ely from Mars to their Great Lakes base and from there they transported him to Houston where Adam lived. They created a life and a background to cover up Ely's true history and he even moved to the same neighborhood as Adam... FIVE OAKS. They returned to their base to monitor their situation.

Not long afterwards Ely and Adam met and even became close friends and had several adventures with each other and learned many things from each other unknown even to them that they were cosmic rivals that would one day face each other for the title of Godhood. They did keep their knowledge of their cosmic destiny from each other because no one was to know about the alien knowledge. Together with their friend Thomas they ruled their neighborhood with fairness and respect. In a way it was a test to see how they would rule the the universe. Things would soon change...

Ely and Thomas moved to Arizona and Adam remained in FIVE OAKS. Although he no longer ruled the neighborhood he continued to enjoy living his life. At the same time the Mars base was visited by a messenger drone from their homeworld in the Drago constellation. The aliens on Mars began communicating with their homeworld again and would seem they would now benefit greatly from doing so. The drone delivered a message stating that they had learned of another peice of the prophecy about 2 creatures that would have to face each other for the title of Godhood. The Mars aliens shifted their plans because a confrontation would need to take place and the sooner before Adam learned more from his alien mentors the better. They retrieved Ely and continued his training and began his warrior training that once tapped flowed like lava from all the great warrior's genetics in his DNA. Once they were satisfied with his increased prowess they set him back to Houston to confront Adam.

Eli's return surprised Adam and filled him with joy, but it was the new look in his eyes that surprised Adam more and even replaced the joy with dread. Eli warned Adam that their friendship in the past no longer was relevant. Eli's attack was swift but Adam was a very fast person and avoided the blow. Where Adam had speed on his side Eli definantly had size and strength on his. Adam could only avoid Eli's attacks for so long before Eli caught him. Although Adam had some training in fighting, it would appear that the Mars aliens were wise to use several warriors DNA to make Eli because he did gain the upper hand over Adam and it seem that the battle was all but over Adam realized that he would not be able to continue to fight and live and perhaps even a piece of him still did not want fight his friend. Adam faked an attack and when Eli braced himself for the attack, Adam fled. He ran as fast and as hard as he could. He didnt understand what was going on and behind him he heard Ely scream out "Run while you can Adam. Only one of us can be God."

Adam kept running even after his legs burned like they pumped acid and he could barely breath. It wasnt so much that he was still scared it was he wanted to escape his whole situation. He just wanted to be normal. He didnt want to know about aliens and fate and he didnt want to be fighting his friends. Shortly afterwards while he still ran one of his alien mentors ships flew in to scoop him up. They had monitored the situation and were confused about why Ely had attacked Adam and why he thought he could be the creature of prophecy. They studied their files and texts that dealt with the prophecy. They studied Adam again and reran their tests to ensure that they hadnt made a mistake about believing him to be the creature of prophecy. While studying the texts they found something they had overlooked and maybe perhaps was forgotten about by those who passed on the prophecy to them. It mentioned two creatures who must face each other for the throne. One was pure and bathed in light. The other was mighty because he was the combination of many and lived in blackness. They believed Ely was created by the assorted DNA that was collected and was created by their Mars counterparts. Now they believed was the time. Obviously the final stages of the prophecy are coming to pass and their Mars rivals were already further along then themselves. They place Adam in a special chamber and blast him with the rest of their knowledge. At the same time it was having an effect on his physical body. It was growing weaker and deteriorating rapidly. At one point his body broke down so much that a wound opened up on his hand. Instead of blood, light escaped the wound. It glowed and other wounds opened up all over his body. He thrashed in pain while the alien knowledge continued to assault his brain. The wound eventually combined and overtook his physical body until he no longer had flesh and blood. All that was left was white energy that glowed faintly with blue that resembled a human form. He exited the chamber having also absorbed the aliens knowledge. Adam felt a calmness he had never experienced before. it was a calmness that can only be achieved by becoming semi-divine. He was ready to sail the Milky Way now.

He didnt bid his mentors farewell he just floated outside the ship and into space. He felt a force pull him into a certain direction. He followed it and as he continued to follow the pull he picked up speed. Stars and nebulas began to fly by him in streaming flashes. It was speed that was unmeasurable. Yet he remained calm until he felt something behind him that was being pulled by the force as well. He turned to see what it was. It was another person made of energy. A black and red energy. It was Ely. Ely tried to attack Adam again, but Adam, as always, used his speed to avoid Ely's superior attacks. While dodging Ely's attacks adam noticed that they were only a short distance cosmically from the massive black hole and their fates.

Adam retreated from the fight once again and this time flew strait for the black hole. Ely was in hot pursuit but as always his warrior spirit could not match Adam's speed. Adam flew into the black hole. A cosmic shift occurred and before Ely stood Adam once again. Ely would've tried to attack him again, but Ely was being pulled by another force. He was being sucked into the black hole. Since he could no longer claim the throne at the black hole he could no longer resist the black holes pulling force. Ely tried to fly away but nothing escapes the pull of a black hole... not even energy and light. He was sucked into the oblivion of the eye of the blackhole. And then Adam was alone, except he was really alone. He was everything now. He was time and space now. He decided to right a few things.

Adam went back to the times when the aliens caused the extinction events and took all the animals to different earth like worlds and put all the animals killed by the first extinction even on a world billions of years before they would actually exist on earth because this world at that time was more perfect for them than an any other world in the universe at anytime. The alien visitors were fortunate that they did because it was the trilobites that would eventually evolve into the alien visitors. It was also an event of such great importance that it was etched into their genetic memory and when they gained evolved intelligence they also had visions of a great creature that would become god and save them. This knowledge would be passed down from generation and generation about a Creature of Prophecy.

Adam then worked out a peace between the two alien factions and they abandoned their bases in our solar system and returned to their homeworld together.

Adam created a duplicate of himself and even a duplicate of Ely and returned them to Earth to live a normal life without the cosmic knowledge and the fate that originally drove Adam and Ely apart.

Adam explored the cosmos. Although he was the cosmos and knew everything about the cosmos there was still a part of him that was human and wanted to see everything as if he was human.

And what of Ely? Was he destroyed by the black hole? No. He still existed on the other side of the Blackhole outside of Adam's influence. Matter and energy comes through the blackhole so pressurized that it is hotter than than anything in Adam's universe. Light doesnt even escape a blackhole but on the other side everything is black. Ely is constantly being bathed in this heat and darkness. At first it tormented him but now he welcomes it. It is a part of him now. All he does is plan his chance to escape his hell and exact revenge on Adam.

The Great Ministral Theory

In another world and another time Adam lived in a world of swords and magic and creatures and epic quests. As a child he had a dream of two mighty demon brothers, one came from a mouth of a giant volcano and the othe was undead and marched from the icy lands of the north. Adam woke from the nightmare covered in sweat and hoping it was just a dream. Unfortunately it wasnt. Events happened just as Adam dreamed. The two demons, the one from the north was named Beleth and the one from the volcano was named Berith. joined forces and quickly conquered the known world with their horde of powerful mages and dark warriors and ruled it with a iron fist of torture and persicution and fear. As a last ditch effort to defeat the legions of the demons citizens tried to forma great army and defeat the demons. Adam's freind Eric joined this army even though it broke Adam and Eric's twin brother Dru's heart. The army failed miserably and all were either killed, imprisoned, sold into slavery, or taken to be tested on by the horde's dark mages.

Dru lost his way and soon found himself imprisoned as well, but while imprisoned he dicovered religion and found a light that he had searched for his entire life.

Life under the rule of the demons was hard and full of constant threat of the hordes. Represenatives would often visit villages to claim taxes that were unfairly high, but must be paid. Often females would also be taken away to be slaves to the barbarians and dark soldiors that served the horde and mages would often take people to be experimented on. Stories tell of entire villages taken away and becomeing ghost towns.

It was durring this time Adam became a great ministral who mastered his craft from time spent as a court jester entertaining kings and queens that the demons put in positions of power. He also mastered being a bard with time spent on the road afterwards entertain masses at bars. He became known for his funny jokes and humorous songs, his fast wit, juggeling knives and doing simple magic tricks. He also became known as a great drinker and someone that could cook would often meals over an open fire that would put the feasts of royal courts to shame. Often he would be challenged to drinking contests and the loser would have to pay the bar tab. He rarely had to pay out the tab.

Adam lived in a village named Five Oaks. The people would celebrate often there because it was another day that they survived the rule of Beleth and Berith. It was here that Adam met and befreinded a dark figure named Thomas. It was known that Thomas was a dangerous mage, but he kept his past to himself. At a bonfire party that they threw Adam met the Beserker warrior Ely. The three unlikely individuals became very close freinds and the village hardly would be visited by the demon horde for tax collection so remained relatively untouched by the reign. Adam, Thomas, and Ely quickly became the ones people looked up to in the village and tried to enforce a fair set of rules. Often they would be challenged by lesser warriors and would send the warrors home sore and hopefully with a lessoned learned. That wasnt always the case but those warriors were nothing more than a minor threat.

Around this time Adam had another dream about the demons. A voice told him that it would have to be him that would have to defeat the demons. Adam questioned the voice stating that he wasnt a warrior and only had a very limited knowledge in combat. The voice told him that he would not do it alone. He would have the aid of companions and they would have to quest for weapons that would aide them against the legions of warriors and horde of mages that serve the demons. These weapons would also be able to harm the demons because no ordanary waepon can harm the demons. Adam awoke and as before he was covered in sweat and wondering how he should go about defeating the demons.

He went to the home of Ely and Ely gladly accepted Adam's offer. He wecomed the chance for a grand adventure and the chance to stand by Adam's side and his smaller freind. They then went to the home of Adam's sister Diana. She was married to Erin who was a mighty warrior that specialized in hunting and killing wizards, shapeshifters, and undead and was one of Adam's closest freinds. However when Adam and Erin arrived only Adam's sister and her daughter remained. She obviously had been crying alot. When Adam asked what was wrong and where was Erin. She broke down and said that he was killed by vengefull mages that served in the horde. She didnt know how she was gonna live. Adam and Ely gave her their money and Adam told her to return to their mothers home and that he would avenge Erin. adam didnt know who to ask now. Erin was a very formiddable fighter and would perhaps be the biggest asset to his party with his great number of skills. Ely suggested that they should ask Thomas for help. Adam wasnt sure. Thomas always seemed to be on the verge of lashing out with his power and seemed to be hiding from the attention of the horde of wizards. Ely did convince Adam that they did actually need Thomas's help. When they approached Thomas for help he reluctantly agreed and gathered his bags of magic wands, rods, chystals and rings. Thomas and Ely alway made a formidable duo but Adam wondered how he would contribute to their war party and how they would go about gaining the items needed to strike out against the demons and their legions and hordes. He also knew that it would take more than a Bard, Beserker, and a mage to overthrow the demons. The next day Adam's old freinds Eric and Dru came to Adam's house while Adam, Thomas, and Ely were about to set out on their journey. Adam didnt even know that they were no longer imprisoned. He noticed that they were both armed and seemed ready to fight. Ely instinvely grabbed his axe and prepared to battle. Thomas placed a few of his rings on his hands. Adam signals them to stand down. He steps out to greet his old freinds. Adam tels his old freinds that he is glad to see them but he was wondering what they were doing there. They tell Adam that they had a dream that they should help Adam out. They immediately set out and Dru offers his services as a paladin in training and Eric offers his services as a ranger. Adam informs them that they arrived just in time because He and his companions were about to set out.

On the journey Adam's old friend and new friends become freinds as well. The group is able to ambush small groups of barbarians that serve the demons and thay actually become quite good at these small skimishes, gain a reputation as freedom fighters. Luckily for them their identity is never known durring these tales. Adam would often sing songs about their adventure at bars that they would visit durring their travels to the patrons joy, but would always keep the identity of the heros a secret. He knew that although their exploits gave people a small glimmer of hope they were actually not doing anything significant to the plans and rutiens<<spell check<< of the demons and their armies.

One night when Adam was performing for a group of patrons that had filled a pub looking forward to seeing Adam perform he was approached by an old man who wanted to have a contest of sorts. They would both perform for the crowd and whomever the crowd enjoyed more would be the winner and the loser would have to pay the winners bill and tab. Adam agreed and to all the patrons joy the old man was a very skilled ministral as well. Both performed to the top of their abilities and would often interact with each other while performing as if it wasnt actually a contest but a scripted play. At the end of it all though Adam's wit and humor won the croud over as always. The old man gracefully bowed in defeat and asked Adam to meet him alone outside. Adam's freinds gave him a look and wondered if they should follow. Adam told them them that he would be ok and that they should remain and continue to enjoy themselves.

Outside the old man told Adam that he was pleased that Adam had won. He didnt have any coin to give Adam but he had something else. He pulled an old lyre out of his bag and presented it to Adam. He told hadam that the Lyre had belonged to a bard named Orpheus who also had several adventures. He used this lyre in his adventures and it saved him many times. Adam took the lyre and thanked the old man. The old man just nodded and walked off into the night and seemed to disapear into the blackness.

Adam immediatly returned to the bar and informed his freinds what had happened outside. He immediately decided to use his new lyre and sang a song about the contest and the mysterious old man. The bar loved how Adam sang a song about the events of the very night that he had entertained them. His lyre sounded wonderful and always in tune. Adam and his freinds make a good amount of money entertaining that night and get a confortable room to rest in that night.
