Richard Wright was called the "coolest person alive" by Jay Smith, a local trash man and police man that was being interviewed in an exit poll by Haywood Yabuzoff for Channel 4, the local QRS affiliate in the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, & Richland) in a November 2, 2006 news reporting of the Congressonal Election. It was later reported that Doc Hastings won the race to which Haywood commented, "Richard Wright is still the coolest person alive".

On December 10, 2006 Haywood Yabuzoff reported on a mugging on the southside of Pasco and while interviewing Jay Smith, Tri-City Police Cheif, commented that "it was as if Jay Smith was policing wikipedia as opposed to the streets of Washington". Meaning that the streets of Washington aren't policed very well.

In the July 2006 Princeton Review, Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University was ranked the number one Podiatric School in America.
