The 2024 NCAA Division I field hockey season is the ongoing 48th season of college field hockey in the United States. The regular season began on August 30 and is scheduled to end on November 3. The postseason will began on November 5th and will end on November 24th.
Rule changes
[edit]The following rule changes were approved by the NCAA for the 2024 season: [1]
- New rules
- If the uniform colors of each team aren't of contrasting colors, the home team is required to change.
- Teams should let the umpires know of the uniform decision prior to the game.
- Rules Removed
- Players are permitted to wear throughout a match for medical reasons only a smooth, preferably transparent or single-colored face mask which closely fits the face, soft protective head- covering or eye protection in the form of plastic goggles.
