Angelune
[edit]Angelune is a Symphonic Gothic Black Metal band formed in March 2024, based in Bloomington, Indiana. The band consists of three members: Liam, who handles writes and produces instrumentals, and Jackson and Michael, who are the primary vocalists. Michael reknown for his screams and growls, and Jackson for his etherial vocal melodies. Initially, Liam and Jackson, and separately Liam and Michael, worked on different projects, but in August 2024, the three joined forces to create Angelune.[1]
Their music is heavily inspired by bands like Cradle of Filth, blending dark symphonic elements with black metal intensity. In September 2024, they released their debut single, "Beneath the Dying Crown[2]", as a precursor to their upcoming album, "Waltz of the Damned".
With a style that fuses haunting orchestral arrangements with aggressive metal, Angelune aims to carve a unique niche in the metal scene. Blending Etherial fantasy vocals, with gothic heavy metal.
Before forming Angelune, Liam and Michael were part of a hardcore punk band called Fear the Fishmen, along with Tristan and Robbie. The band released one unnamed EP[3] featuring six tracks: "Sound of That," "Song 5," "Curious Creature," "Fruit of the Sea," "Reggae Song," and "The Siren." Fear the Fishmen showcased a raw, energetic sound with influences from post punk, harcore, and metal. Although the project was short-lived with one year and a dozen live shows, it helped shape Liam and Michael's musical style, eventually leading them toward the darker, more symphonic sound of Angelune.
