Greg Blok is studying towards a Masters Degree in Linguistics at Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He is a native of New Zealand and is currently living with his family in the Eastern Lawa village of Ban Bo Luang. He is writing up a grammar sketch of Eastern Lawa for his MA thesis and hopes to use his linguistics degree to help the Eastern Lawa people to develop their language. He is also working on an orthography and a dictionary for the Eastern Lawa.
