Yair Jacob Koas (Hebrew: יאיר קואס, born 18 May 1997) is an American actor.[1]
Early life
[edit]Koas was born in Bnei Brak, Israel, the son of Miriam (née Eckstein) and Ron Koas. Since his Mom is American, he became a naturalized citizen of America at Birth; he holds dual citizenship with America and Israel. He has a brother and a sister: Daniel, a journalist, and Talia, a student. Koas was born in Israel in 1997, and moved to Australia in 1999 where he attended the King David School, Melbourne. At the age of 5 1/2 he moved to America and continued his education till the end of high school at the Schechter Day School Network on Long Island. He currently studies Theatre Arts at Brandeis University as well as Classical Studies.
Career
[edit]Theater
[edit]Koas has performed in over 15 theatrical productions, most notably Slim in the Park Avenue Players' production of Oklahoma!, Mr. Harrari in Ruined (play) at Brandeis University, Grantaire and the Bishop of Digne in a production of Les Misérables which premiered at the Long Island Children's Museum, and as the title character in a musical version of Kazablan.[2] He is a member of the Playback Theatre troupe under the auspices of Free Play Theater Cooperative.
Film and Television
[edit]Koas has performed in supporting and background roles in a variety of film and television productions.
Radio
[edit]Koas is the Technical Director at WBRS[3] 100.1 FM in Waltham, Massachusetts. He holds a show with circus performer and juggler Tobias Reynolds titled "But Wait, There's More!".
Modeling
[edit]Koas was a prominent model in the iMatterProject in 2014.
