Faith & Mysary are a punk-rock band from Cumnock, Scotland. They formed in August 2008.

• X-Ray (Raymond Wilson) on Guitar. Age 16

and..

• The Trashcan Ninja (Aiden Linden) on Drums. Age 16

Former Members Include..

• DanDan (Daniel McLean) – Rhythm Guitar • Fudgie (Steven McFadyen) - Bass • Kyle Vengeance (Kyle Samson) – Rhythm Guitar

To date they have one song of their own, "Scum of the Earth". This was written by Andie, and a friend from outside the band Andrew "TT" Taylor. They are currently working on a song called “Second Heartbeat”, written by Aiden, and co-written by Andie, amongst others. They perform many covers and try to play as many gigs as they can. To date they have performed several times at Ayr Ark, and a few more at the Band Practice where the band met and formed. They also performed at the Open Mic Stage at Cumnock Music Festival '09 and came in 2nd place. Andie and Raymond also participated in an Accoustic Event for Pulse Recording Studio in Cumnock in early ’09.

The band met when Ray attended a gig at Cumnock Acoustic Open Stage (CAOS or "band practice"). Here, Andie was performing solo, and Kyle's previous band "Relentless" were also playing. Both of them became friends with Ray, particularly Andie at first, and not long after working together at Cumnock Music Festival '08, Andie phoned Ray and asked whether he would be interested in forming a punk band. Ray thought this was a good idea, and accepted. He had already been thinking about forming a new band with the soon-to-be drummer, Aiden. Soon after this DanDan tagged along. Kyle was invited to join, but stated that he didn't want "tae be in ah fuckin punk band". The band searched for a bassist, but failed. A name was given (Faith and Misery), A bebo was created, www.bebo.com/punk-isnae-dead , and the band was declared official.

At this point Kyle was "chief groupie", as he was in a relationship with the vocalist, Andie. Although, in late 2008, he asked if he could join. The band gave up their search for a bassist and decided the 3 guitarists should take turn. They began saving for a bass guitar and amp. This just never really happened. At a later gig, Connor McGinn, took former post of chief groupie after much discussion from the band. This post was awarded... just because.

Another gig was performed one month later, minus Kyle and Andie, as they had family commitments they had to attend.

Soon after this gig, Dan was told the band no longer needed him, as they felt it would be better for the band to have 2 guitarists – X-Ray and Kyle, and continue the search for a bassist. They felt 3 guitarists were a bit much. Amendments were made to the ‘groupie’ list (Which the band have for no other reason than their own amusement)-

• Connor - Chief

• Frankie - Connors Chief

• Barker - Manager / Intimidating Security Guard

• Glen - Backing Dancer

• Billy The Mini-Alsation - Mascot

and…

• Claire - Bit On The Side

Spelling of the name was changed to 'Faith and Mysary', And a new bebo was made … www.bebo.com/cherrylanecrew

As the group often (almost always) go to Andie's house on a Friday, also known as Cherry Lane. Hence making them the 'Cherry Lane Crew' (Also a bebo group in its own right .. http://www.bebo.com/CherryyLaneeCreww ..)

Soon after Fudgie began as Acting Band Bassist

This however, did not last, as the band felt it would be better for them if Fudgie left, partially due to creative differances and partially for other reasons.

Soon after, Kyle also left the band. Giving the reason that he wanted to return to his 'metal roots'

The band hope to find a bassist and another guitarist at some point in the future, at the moment they are happy having only the 3 of them and are continuing to learn covers, play gigs, and try to write.

Band practices are every Wednesday and Sunday in Aidens garage. FaM also occasionaly practice at CAOS.
