Bathydevius caudactylus is a species of glowing sea slug that resides deep in the ocean.[2][3][4] Its existence was first announced in November 2024 by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, who had been observing it since 2000.[5] The species lives around one to four thousand meters below the ocean surface.
