The Bobby McGee's are a twee-core band from Brighton, UK.
Formed by brother and sister duo Jimmy and Eleanor McGee in 2002, they released their debut EP The Bobby McGee's - Yes Please! in April 2006, and received plaudits and recognition from Jarvis Cocker and Fat Boy Slim, as well as regular air play from Tom Robinson, Huw Stephens and Jon Kennedy, and were described by Everett True as "like Dostoyevsky doing skiffle!"
After appearances at Glastonbury Festival and Indietracks, the band released their debut album in 2009, L’Appropriation Bourgoisie De La Bobby McGee’s. They also provided music for use on FilmFour, and made a cameo appearance in a Dizzee Rascal video.
