National Spacecat Day falls on March 15th of every year and is traditionally celebrated by the transaction of Spacecat .gifs. An individual, deemed that year's "Houston", will send spacecat .gifs to all of their friends every hour, on the hour, for the duration of the day or until they get bored and forget. The event traditionally ends with a finale of spacecat .gifs in similar style to American Independence Day firework displays.
