Giorgio Ciabattoni (born 19.05.1972, in San Benedetto del Tronto, in Ascoli Piceno province, Italia) is an italian singer and pianist.
Early years
[edit]Since an early age, music became an important part of his life thanks to his music-oriented family, especially from his fathers' side.
Giorgio's career started in 1988 in San Benedetto del Tronto, where he used to play the piano at the „La Rotonda” bar in the Porto d’Ascoli fraction, but he was recognised as a musical vocalist later on, in Romania.
After he graduated the Piano Music Conservatory in 1989, he had his first public interpretation in the most renowned Piano Bar in his hometown. He was selected for the Castrocaro in 1992, where he received the 1st place during the regional selections and became a Voice during the Festival di Sanremo, a popular music festival in Italy.
In 1998 Giorgio met Master Franco Califano, who shortly became one of his closest friends and collaborators for many years ahead.
2001-2022: the path to becoming an international artist
[edit]2001: Giorgio opens his own Piano Bar in San Benedetto del Tronto called Insomnia, where he had a lot of success with his JuiceBand. In this bar many bands and national singers performed, like Rocky Roberts, Franco Califano, Sergio Caputo, PFM, Equip 84, Don Backy, Bobby Solo and many others.
2007: He decided to move to Romania, in Bucharest. He fell in love with the country and Gheorghe Dinicu's songs. He worked as an Artistic Director at Casino Phoenicia for 2 years. He was forced to move back to Italy in 2009 when his son Emanuele was born.
2012: After he played the piano for a very long whitte in the well-knows italian artist's band Gianni Morandi, Giorgio returned in Bucharest with new perspectives. He started to perform concerts all across the country and he reinterpreted many popular songs in the italian restaurant Mozzafiato located in the capital city. He becomes by excellence the East European italian representative voice, showing up at many TV and radio shows in Romania and in foreign countries, using the #giorgioliveshow sign.
2017: He participates at X-Factor România, a musical competition where he wins the 3rd place.
2018: He partisipates LIVE at TV Rai Internazionale, during the Italian Talents from Around The World show.

2022: His very first music single ,,Stella” goes live, and it was welcomed with opened arms by the public.
In love with Romania
[edit]His attraction for Romania was the main reason why he wanted to settle in the country. ''10 years ago I moved in Bucharest and this place is so familiar to me, the people are so dear to me. Both my family and my little boy feel great when they visit me”[1], Ciabattoni says during an interview for the Libertatea newspaper.
During all these years, the italian singer learned to love everything that is related to Romania, starting with the places to the people, food and music: ''stews, mamaliga, pork stews, I love them all even if they are different from what we are eating in Italy'' and he declares that he is deeply in love with the Gheorghe Dinicu's drinking songs.[2]
Personal life: marriage with Tamara Mazza
[edit]On 20th of August 2022 Giorgio married Tamara Mazza, his partner for many years. They walked to the altar in Italy, the entire scenario being similar to a fairytale. The location of the party was a beautiful villa located on the seaside shore. Giorgio Ciabattoni offered this information for Spectacola:
„I've been living in Romania for 10 years. I came here first ttime in 1998 while in holiday, where I sang at a wedding party. I've decided to move here after I noticed that the people here love italian music. My wife is italian and we've been living together in Romania. Our wedding took place in Italy, where we invited about 100 italians and 100 romanians. We planned the wedding in a large villa, located next to the seaside, in an italian style, and when it comes to music we also had a romanian singer, Bianca Sârbu.”[3]
The couple's godfathers are Marius Marian, the right hand of the billionaire Ion Țiriac, and his partner. During their wedding there were plenty of other recognized personalities from Romania, and the artistic moments were both italian and romanian so that the guests would feel pleasantly surprised.
”Among my guests there was also Rareș Bogdan. The italian guests were shocked, they were delighted to see the romanian guests, it was superb. When it comes to music, I invited my band, who is in Italy for 15 years. They sand all night long, but there was also Bianca who enchanted and etertained the public.”,[4] Giorgio declared.
Discography
[edit]In 2022 he released his first single, ''Stella'', written with teh singer and his friend Alessandro Canino and the master Simone Papi at the Sprint Media Group records label. They also made a video for this music single. The production and the mix-master were made by George Popa.
The italian soloist Giorgio Ciabattoni has an interesting story that he told:
''I came in Romania for the first time in 1998 during holidays and I enjoyed the atmosphere. We have many things in common, like the latin language. I returned in Romania in 2008 and I worr=ked at a casino, now I live in Bucharest where I have an italian wife and a child. I can confirm that I have plenty on concerts, weddings, festivals and shows to attend and I want to form a band of my own to sing along at events. In the videoclip directed by Claudiu Stan (MVPEntertainment) we also have an imaginary Stella, captured in a different scenery. The video was filmed at Ploiesti and it looks sensational, I invite you to watch it and discover its' story. We've been filming for about 4 hours but it was so worth it.”[5]
Giorgio participates in the same year at the first edition of We Love Music Festical, organised at Râmnicu-Vâlcea, where he will be deeply recognised by the public. ''After this video I hope I will release an album that I'm actually working on. I'm glad that the romanians appreciate the italian music, songs that aren't heard too often anymore. I sang such songs at the We Love Music Festival 2022 at Ramnicu Valcea,'' Giorgio also said.[6]
