[edit]Notice of paid work relating to Wikipedia |

It is a requirement for users to disclose any paid work relating to Wikipedia. I am employed at the North Dakota State Library, working in the Digital Initiatives (DI) department. DI shares expertise in collecting, creating, and preserving digital copies of items relating to North Dakota's cultural heritage and government. DI administers the digitization projects and digital collections of the North Dakota State Library; offers services, resources, and consultation to libraries, state government, and residents across the state; and facilitates many digital projects. As part of these duties, I will occasionally contribute content to Wikipedia that relates to the history of North Dakota.
However, this employment does not hamper my ability to provide impartial contributions or edits. The mission of the North Dakota State Library is "providing pathways to information and innovation for North Dakota's libraries, state government, and residents." As a library, the North Dakota State Library has access to a wealth of credible information relating to North Dakota history, state government, etc. I am committed to providing the public with free and open access to this credible information. One of the many values of the DI department is "providing access to accurate information" and fighting misinformation/ disinformation. As a librarian, I am committed to being unbiased, impartial, and inclusive. Please use my Talk page if you have questions or concerns about my edits.
