Jadigenahalli

Jadigenahalli is village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. It is located in Hoskote taluk of Bangalore Rural district, it is 7 Km[1]away from Hoskote and 30 km away from Bangalore (Majestic). Jadigenahalli is also one of the hobli's of the taluk Hoskote and 69[2] villages come under Jadigenahalli hobli.

As of 2011 census,[3], The total area of the village is 419.15 hectares. In Jadigenahalli, there are 1,977 residents; 1,010 of them are male and 967 are female. 71.88% of people in the village of Jadigenahalli are literate, including 79.41% of males and 64.01% of women. In Jadigenahalli village, there are around 449 houses. 449 houses.

The official and most often spoken language in the community is Kannada. Several of the village's residents also speak Tamil.

Geography

Jadigenahalli is located at 13°02′N 77°31′E / 13.03°N 77.51°E / 13.03; 77.51.[4] It has an average elevation of 899 metres (2,949 ft). It has a Tropical wet and dry climate, similar to Bangalore. It has summer temperatures rarely crossing 37°C, and winter temperatures rarely falling below 15°C.

A quarterly fair that was previously held in April in the year 2023 will now take place in the village during April in honour of the goddess "Sapthamatha," whose temple is located on a hilltop. Additionally, a famous old temple of Lord Kalabhaireshwara is said to have been built during the Cholas empire and is located in the village; thousands of devotees visit here.
