The Blue Stones are a Canadian indie-blues duo from Windsor, Ontario. The group consists of Tarek Jafar (guitar/vocals) and Justin Tessier (drums). They formed in 2010 and have released three independent recordings since then, with songs from the latest recording, "How's That Sound?", having multiple network television placements in programs; the track "Rolling with the Punches" was featured in Suits[1] and Necessary Roughness[2], and the track "Make Your Move" was featured in Parks and Recreation[3].
The Blue Stones have released two albums to date: The Blue Stones EP and How's That Sound?. They are in the midst of making a third release, which will be the duo's first full-length record. The album will be titled Black Holes and will be produced, mixed and engineered by famed Canadian-rock underground producer/artist Ian Blurton at Pro Gold Studios in Toronto, with engineering and production work also done with Brett Humber at Sound Foundry Studios in Kingsville, Ontario.
