Your talk page

[edit]

Since you don't bother to reply to anyone, why not just put a neon sign saying "DON'T TALK TO ME" instead of actually allowing comments and ignoring them? KellyAna (talk) 23:35, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

I assume you mean that I didn't respond to your comment reading "You dont delete fact just because the reference was placed in the wrong location. Do not remove content without GOOD reason."? If so, I'm sorry -- I was doing other things and didn't get to you right away. That doesn't mean I don't reply. It was flat out rude of you to assume that I never respond to comments on my talk page, just because I didn't get back to you immediately.
I removed the content about Adkins' injuries because I felt it was unnecessary to the article, but after reading it again, I think it is indeed necessary, neutral, and verifiable. I've been kind of out of sorts today.
In short, I welcome any further improvements to Trace Adkins' article; however, I do ask that you please show a little more civility in your responses. Thank you. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 23:43, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
No, I mean based on all I've seen from your talk page, you never reply to ANYONE. Out of all the recently archived comments you didn't reply to one.KellyAna (talk) 00:09, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
He has replied to me a number of times, so I can't share your concern. -- Ļıßζېấשּׂ~ۘ Ώƒ ﻚĢęخ (talk) 00:12, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
I second that, you see that he replied to the comments by User:NatureBoyMD (the most recent thread) on the user's talk page (User talk:NatureBoyMD). I see no problems with TenPoundHammer's conduct whatsoever. Malinaccier (talk) 00:14, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

About Carrie Underwood discography

[edit]

In regards to your latest edit, I don't see why we can simply have "did not chart", because "or have not yet charted" is technically "did not chart". "Did not chart" is a broad umbrella which covers that term. σмgнgσмg(talk) 00:26, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Did not chart would apply to songs that haven't and / or didn't chart. A much better title. KellyAna (talk) 00:38, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Picture

[edit]

Even the picture in the Trace Adkins article doesn't support your rhythm guitar CLAIM which is severely PERSONAL RESEARCH. Guitar is sufficient. Your changes are POV and PR. Cite definable proof or don't change it again. KellyAna (talk) 00:37, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Sexuality and Space

[edit]

Hey Hammer, I've made a large revision to the Sexuality and Space article. It's very much not the article it was when it hit AfD and I'd like you to take a look at it and see if you feel differently about it now.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 02:24, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

notability

[edit]

I was wondering if you think Я Для Tебя meets WP:NOTABILITY guidelines. If so, feel free to nominate it for WP:AFD. --Sharkface217 03:25, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that would work. Although I suggest you check the talk page of the article first. The question might be answered there. --Sharkface217 04:37, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

[edit]

Not sure if you saw my reply on my talk. I hope you didn't take my removal of the SD tag as a question of your judgment or good faith. My philosophy or approach to AfDs differs from yours most likely. Although, I've speedied some in progress though too. I can understand why you were a little perplexed. It's really just a matter of WP:COMMON sometimes. Sorry for the mishap. Cheers dude. Wisdom89 (T / C) 23:32, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Help

[edit]

Thanks for your support on the nomination of Carrie Underwood discography's WP:FLC nomination. As you know, User:I7114080 and I had disputes during the last nomination of the article for FLC. Now, he's at it again (although its only been one edit that I've undid) so far. What should I do? I'm trying my best to be civil here, but, my patience is wearing thin. I need your advice on how to approach this issue and user. Cheers. σмgнgσмg(talk) 02:34, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

He's at it now. I've just undid a few of his revisions. >.< Please help. σмgнgσмg(talk) 02:43, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm just wondering, what do we do now? Do we just sit here and wait or do we try to get him to discuss and negotiate what is best for the article? Because right now, I don't think he is willing to do that... [1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Omghgomg (talkcontribs)

It appears you and KellyAna were working on some country articles and she could use some help. There's a difference of opinion on adding a bit of trivia with a apparently questionable source. My opinion has been added (I'm against adding the information) but from there I really prefer not to be involved in biography articles. Could you offer an opinion? Thank you. RfA unsuccessful

[edit]

I am sorry to inform you that your RfA was unsuccessful. Please read carefully the reasons given against your RfA at this time, and I encourage you to try again at a later date. Keep up the good work! Cheers, Kingturtle (talk) 02:32, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

*facepalm* Sorry to see it went that way, Hammer. Some suggestions, if you don't mind them: Step away from closing AFDs, no matter the situation - you've shown a lot of people that you know how that side of admin work is done. That removes one target. Dunno about your system when you're nominating something for deletion, but I always run a Google and Google News search before I nominate, especially for CSD - it's better to err towards not nominating if it's uncertain... some maintenance tags help there. Matter of fact, take some time away from deletion debates, pick one or two of those articles you've written, and build them into GAs, or take a good one and push it towards FA. Take a deep breath before entering into discussions with potentially problematic editors - ask for help from someone else if you feel there's a problem. (I'm always more than happy to help out when you need it.) Finally... wait until at least August before taking the next nom offering.
More than 150 editors think you'd make a good admin. That's astounding. I hope this doesn't discourage you too much. Tony Fox (arf!) 03:58, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Re your response - assertions of notability can be tough to spot, I know - always err to the safer side and use maintenance tags liberally, is my best offering there. For the GA/FA stuff, I'm more than happy to help if you need advice - I'd love to help get more up to that level, but as you say doing it on your own can be a challenge. (I really need to nominate my GA project for FA one day...) Diamond Rio looks pretty solid as it stands - have you nominated it for GA at all? I'm almost certain it would pass easily. If you want some collaborative help with any article, just drop me a note, let me know what you want done, and I'll do what I can. Tony Fox (arf!) 15:53, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I've given you advice before, which you ignored. Let me try again. Tony Fox is right. Get some help from some admins that have pull in this project. There is always backchannel conversation about lots of topics on Wikipedia, and one is about RfA's. Look at some of the big name admins that opposed your nomination. I'm sure they have their reasons, which they certainly don't share with me, but when they vote, many individuals what their contributions, and may take a look at the RfA. You are young, and that in of itself is not a problem. However, you come across as immature. You need to tone down the drama, including "I'm on a wikibreak" which I think is one of the silliest things I see on this project. If you don't want to edit, don't, you needn't announce your reasons. If you want to edit do, no one cares. And really, Tony Fox is right. Build the articles to GA and FA status. I don't care if you wrote the article, or you adopt one. And finally, I want more than a few months passing before you do this again. Go for at least 8-12 months. Prove to everyone you're serious. When you come back too fast, I can tell you it just means you want the admin tools as goal in of itself. That's my advice. You are good for this project, but you are not ready for the admin label.OrangeMarlin Talk• Contributions 05:57, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Bad luck on the recent nomination on your fifth aFD. But, if you are opting for the sixth nomination, I suggest you apply for admin coaching. The admin coaching is just there to make you more 'admin' material. Good luck for next time. =) σмgнgσмg(talk) 06:02, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
have this ice cream, it will make a cool day for you
  • I'm really sorry about your RFA. You should carefully review the concerns raised there. That might help you in your next RFA. Keep up the good work--NAHID 10:03, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Wanted a second opinion pre-AFD on Shady Boy. Chicano rapper (I watch that list) and at first seemed nonnotable. Googled for "Shady Boy" rap and found more interesting links, including downloads at walmart download service, etc. but still borderline. Your RfA

[edit]

Hello TenPoundHammer. I am disappointed to know that your RfA was unsuccessful. However, more than 150 Wikipedians supported you. I "strongly supported" you. I hope will you continue to contribute for Wikipedia and I am quite sure that your next RfA will be successful. All the best. Masterpiece2000 (talk) 13:45, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

I was also disappointed to learn that your RFA didn't come to a consensus. Just thought I'd drop in and wish you better luck next time. Useight (talk) 22:54, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I too was saddened by your RFA. IMHO, you've really grown and changed as an editor and currently you do as much work in administrative areas as some of the most active sysops. It's a shame that your RFA didn't pass. I do hope you apply for adminship in the near future (6 months, maybe?) and hopefully you will get it then. Even though I sometimes find myself in slight disagreements with you over such issues as the interpretation of the rules (especially in AFDs), I have come to respect you as an editor and I would be highly pleased to see you as an Admin. Good luck for next time --Sharkface217 04:49, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Like those above, I am sorry your RfA didn't succeed. However, you received strong support from many editors and I hope you will accept renomination at some point in the future. Your contributions considerably improve the project. Eusebeus (talk) 21:10, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

You seem to be a little more in touch with things that I don't consider to be music. I'm always suspicious of any project that involves "Yung D", because that was non-notable high-school student that Josh Gotti and 200 sockpuppets used to try to force into Wikipedia as a rapper. Anyway, now there's this article, and a website. I can't help but think that Yung D's presence is a hoax executed too well for an old man to prove. Care to give it a shot?Kww (talk) 01:18, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Yung D was on the triplesix site, so if he was vandalism, he was pretty well executed. He got removed from the roster today, after I looked and before I left you a message. Looks like someone went and redid the whole membership. I have no idea whether that redo was vandalism or cleanup. Thanks for taking a look.Kww (talk) 01:31, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Do you want another war? LOL. You can link external sources in an article if there isn't a Wiki article. I reverted your edits to the Allergy....blah blah blah link. It's allowed as long as it's not advertising which my link wasn't. Let's work together rather than fight. It's a good link to a non-profit that should have an article. Don't revert without discussion and don't use that bleeping TW thing. Gods I hate that in an edit summary. It SCREAMS "you're a vandal" and someone needs to rewrite it's opening paragraph. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Rayepower.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rayepower.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:31, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article List of minor characters in Biker Mice from Mars, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. Please state your justification for making this a permanent stub. This single CHARTED, and when we last spoke in February, you stated that "if the song didn't chart" it wasn't notible. Now you're stubbing this one.

Your single handed editing in this case is unjustifiable. Please put things back the way they were and go back to play in another part of the sandbox.

What is your justification - other than YOU WANT IT? When we went though your heavy handedness last Feburary, you stated that "If a song didn't chart". . now, your justifcation is .. ."it didn't make the Top 40".. This, my friend, is simply YOUR OPINION. . and in my view, it is vandalism.

What if it didn't make the top 30??

What if it didn't make the top 20??

What if it didn't make the top 10??

What if it wasn't a #1 song???

Now go back and put everything the way it was and we will all be happy. Go play somewhere else ............

Bwmoll3 (talk) 21:00, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

You wrote ... "The main issue here is that you and I have a disagreement on what warrants a page and what doesn't...."

That's absolutley correct. And as you said before, you're just another Wikipedia user, the fact is that your vandalisim is not adding one iota of value to Wikipedia. And as soon as I finish dinner tonight, I'm going to reverse the vandalism you caused and restore that information on those pages to the Wikipedia audience so they can read and add to their knowledge, as this endeavor is for.

Send a Message to My Heart

[edit]

I re-added "Send a Message to My Heart" to Patty Loveless' discography in accordance with Joel Whitburn's Top Country Songs 1944-2005, which lists the song under both Dwight Yoakam and Patty Loveless. Billboard.com can't always be trusted for duets; it sometimes cuts off the artist field at "&". See these entries for Foster & Lloyd, Terry McBride & the Ride and Brooks & Dunn for examples, or this Reba McEntire & Vince Gill duet. Eric444 (talk) 09:35, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I've restored the vandalism you caused with your deletion of "Send a Message to My Heart" page with a redirect. I've also restored the vandalism you caused with your deletion of the links to the appropriate other singles in chronological order. The fact is that none of your vandalism added one iota of information, it simply deleted the infomation that was there. I saw that Eric4444 had already restored the information which you vandalized from the discography page. You wrote "....My plan was to create something like this page, where the actual album article gives information on each song (except I'd be doing this only for some of the singles). By doing this, none of the information that you wrote would be lost at all, just consolidated....", however the fact is that NONE of your edits has done anything of which you said, None of your edits to this song, or to the songs which you deleted in Feburary. The fact is that I had to clean up your vandlism in Feburary, just as I had to clean it up again now. If you disagree with my edits, that's fine, as you said, "If you don't want your material to be edited mercilessly or redistributed for profit by others, do not submit it.".... Bwmoll3 (talk) 10:32, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Re your note to me: I've left a note to Bwmoll3, and will monitor the situation. There's compromise here, I'm sure, but accusations of vandalism need to be put on the shelf right away. Tony Fox (arf!) 18:26, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Also a re: I replied on my talkpage as well regarding this same issue. "Vandalizing" you are not. I recommended bringing this to a wider audience to alleviate the possible perception of "ganging up" on Bwmoll. ie, ANI. Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 18:37, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I've started an RFC on Talk:Send a Message to My Heart, fyi. Figure we'd get some more discussion going on this one. Tony Fox (arf!) 04:01, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Although perhaps unlikely, looking at its contributions, it's not completely impossible that it's George Ducas editing his own article, perhaps? GBT/C 17:37, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm not so sure - it's not as though it is replacing the entire article with "Ducas sucks!" - originally they were minor date changes, etc., and now there's the replacing chunks of text with a lot of peacock words. I'll drop them a note, and in the meantime remove them from WP:AIV. GBT/C 17:56, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Should this be an article?

[edit]

I'm not sure if Comedy rap should be an article. I am considering nominating it for deletion but would like a second opinion first. --Sharkface217 23:44, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I guess I'll nominate it then. Thanks for the input. --Sharkface217 23:59, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Notable?

[edit]

Do you think Fred Pfeiffer is notable? I'm considering nominating for AFD. --Sharkface217 00:40, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

re:Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Jordinquinto

[edit]

I created it for 69.228.195.193. They tried to list the page at AFD today but they couldn't start an AFD page. If they don't follow through, I believe it is against Wikipedia:User_page#Copies_of_other_pages so I'll fill out a rationale for them. ~ Eóin (talk) 03:59, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, weren't there wikicharts around here? I would like to see wiki's top 100 searched articles, or some thing like that. --Cookiesmell (talk) 04:02, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Wrighteverything.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wrighteverything.jpg.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:29, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

AfD for the Lord Whatshisname

[edit]

Damn, that was fast. Thanks! Cmprince (talk) 00:38, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

AfD

[edit]

Thanks for the notice. I use Twinkle with a lot of tabbing it appears it got a '200' error. Hrm. Anyway, thanks for the notification and help at the AfD itself. Have a nice day! asenine t/c 01:59, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I found some additional references and mentioned them at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/William Sledd (3rd nomination). When I'm trying to make up my mind whether a person or organization is notable, I often search a "newspaper of record" such as the New York Times, and sometimes I find reasonably clear evidence in favor of notability.--Eastmain (talk) 03:56, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

AfDs and RfAs

[edit]

Dear TenPoundHammer, in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/To Boldly Go, as the discussion progressed I have reasoned to be amenable to a merge or redirect, which is to some extent along the lines of what I suggested and raised as a criticism in your past RfA, i.e. the ability to react to new evidence and ideas during a discussion. Now just to clarify what I suggested in your previous RfA and which I am still seeing to some extent recently please consider my AfD participation for today, in the instances in which I argued to delete (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/W.I.T.C.H. The Movie: The Ultimate War, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Funeral For My Chemical Valentine, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alhaji sani labaran), I provided evidence that I conducted a search for sources on multiple venues and made efforts to still do whatever I could to improve the article just in the off-chance that during the AfDs sources are indeed found and the article now has a start on being improved. In other words, I did not just throw down another repetitive “vote.” In cases where others already provided appropriate policy shortcuts like WP:HOAX, I did not merely repeat what they wrote. Once somebody has already provided a policy or guideline reason for deletion or keeping, there is no need to restate it as anyone reading the discussion should see it. After all, in a discussion, not a vote, the participants should advance new arguments and ideas as the discussion progresses. Now in the three instances (you read right, so far I argued to delete three articles today versus only three keeps, i.e. a balance of deletes versus keeps) in which I argued to keep, consider them successively. I already addressed To Boldly Go above. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Melting of Maggie Bean was nominated as a non-notable book with four rapid delete votes claiming “no coverage” in secondary sources. Despite such assertions, KittyRainbow and I found SEVERAL sources including ones in which the article was given high reviews (Five Stars, Gold Award). I in turn used these sources to drastically revise the article by adding new sections and multiple references to an article only created four days ago anyway. And that is just with two of us conducting source searches in one day! So, here is an instance where you have a nom plus four delete votes with false claims and no evidence that searches for sources were even done to substantiate those claims only to have myself and another find a slew of sources with which I was able to significantly improve a four day old article. It frustrates me to no end to see so much of that in AfDs, i.e. editors just posting repetitive and false claims that could outnumber those keep arguments from editors who actually went out and found sources and spent time revising the article under question. Now, anyone approaching AfDs as a discussion would revisit his or her initial post taking into account the article’s development, but a minority of participants in AfDs ever do that. But my larger concern is still, why wouldn’t the nominators or initial delete voters just do what KittyRainbow and I did, i.e. look for sources and improve the article accordingly? Think how much would be accomplished, because then instead of KittyRainbow and I doing it here, we could be doing it to another article(s) without having to also post keep rationales in the AfD. The other AfD I argued to keep (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1349 Woking Squadron) was based on the First pillar and I offered some suggestions after checking the web to see if sources suggest legitimacy of the topic. Anyway, I hope that helps illustrate where I am coming from and I happy that you were able to convince me to support previously. As always, the above advice is just my own observations, but I hope it is helpful. Sincerely, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 15:35, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Comments removed from AfD

[edit]

see [2] I'm not feeling well today and my mind is not working properly... can you figure out who took our comments out of the AfD for Median Europe? --Pmedema (talk) 16:09, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I fixed it. Boredom = quick response! Tony Fox (arf!) 16:19, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Is the reference to the BAILII verbatim judgement of the Court of Appeal not enough of a source? I accept the lead might be expanded a little, but it could be put on hold for that. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 01:49, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Somehow, the Court of Appeal thought it necessary to hear the case only once. Hence only one reference, the official transcript of the decision. There is no other source. There can be no other source. Have you done this sort of thing before? --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 01:55, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Criminal Damage in English Law - you have got to be kidding. The texts of the operative statutes are referenced, all BAILII cases which can be linked are, and case citations are given for the others. What more do you need? --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 01:53, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
As regards that section- the government's official text of the Act is referenced as a whole, therefor e it's neither possible nor necessary to give inline citations. The case citations are all inline, if they are inline, they use Template:cite BAILII which links to the official court transcript. If they are not on the BAILII database, reference to Law reports is given, which satisfies WP:RS and WP:V. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 02:01, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
  • I would be glad if they're relisted, because I'm damned if I can think of a single thing they need to satisfy GA- for a legal article. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rodhullandemu (talkcontribs)

Thanks. Great start to a birthday. See you around. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 02:15, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Timer Virus and speedy deletion

[edit]

Thanks for the help. I read WP:HOAX, and it said that these are generally not speedy deletion candidates, so I wasted 15 minutes with that #%$@% Afd process. I think I will do something about the WP:HOAX going this -> way and WP:SPEEDY going this <- way. starting at WP:HOAX. You may wish to weigh in as well. Happy editing! Dirty Hippie Marching Band

[edit]

I don't know why on earth Twinkle had you send me that message. A vandal had moved another school's marching band's page (University of Oregon) to that title, and I moved it back to the actual page. I did not create that nonsensically-titled page, and don't know why it would be assumed I did. Spell4yr (talk) 16:13, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Mjvp13 was the user who did the vandalizing move, by the way. Spell4yr (talk) 05:41, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Hit Predictor

[edit]

I saw in an edit summary that Hit Predictor shouldn't be considered accurate. My experience with it is that it is not accurate in gauging when a song falls off the chart to recurrency, but in terms of chart placement of active songs, it's seemed to be spot-on. For what it's worth. (As it was, I saw you re-added the #4 position to Just Got Started ... soon after reverting it.) Spell4yr (talk) 16:20, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

All right, that works. (For the record, I didn't see your first message on my talk page which is why I didn't refer to it, and instead the edit summary ... I was too confused by the Twinkle message below it to notice anything else had changed on the page.) Spell4yr (talk) 16:26, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Partial explanation

[edit]

See WP:ANI#User:Barneca for background (pour a cup of coffee and sit down in a comfortable chair first). My admittedly biased opinion is we need to stop responding (I've been guilty of that until recently). The IP is dynamic and I'm told the ISP's pool of IP's is too large for a range block, so WP:DFTT is my suggestion. --barneca (talk) 21:25, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Not an Admin!

[edit]

Really, I thought you were an admin this entire time I see you. Well, you deserve to be an admin (even though you failed 5 RFAs).--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 02:59, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

I see. So, can you review me?--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 03:01, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, and I am trying to make increase my mainspace work. Hope you do well on your next RFA, and I think I supported you in your last RFA.--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 03:14, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Weird how you just helped the person I was going to help (edit conflict on that user's page).--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy 03:34, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

This edit of yours (tagging an image for deletion) somehow deleted about a quarter of the article. I'm not sure if this was your error or something to do with the tool you were using, but I thought I'd bring it to your attention. --Cherry blossom tree 10:55, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]

We are new to Wikipedia--and did not thoroughly study your external link guidelines--we will stop posting external links for now. I was led to post external links after seeing "Buck Owens" page which has had an external link to Rhino Entertainment (e.g. commercial site selling Buck Owens music product). How is Rhino Entertainment different than us? Why has their external link remained for weeks? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Camuco (talkcontribs) 14:59, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

FYI: see User_talk:Barek#External Links where I've replied to this. I've already removed the Rhino (and other links) from the Buck Owens EL section per WP:ELNO and WP:NOT. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:23, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

So this page has seen significant improvement since I withdrew my AFD nom, but there's still a lot of work that needs to be done. Would you be willing to help with editing/rewriting it? TallNapoleon (talk) 21:30, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Meriwether AFD

Thanks. I'm using Twinkle and it's about the third time it's screwed up an AFD like that. I've had to double-check it lately, but it looks like you caught it about two seconds after I posted the AFD. // Chris (complaints)(contribs) 01:21, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
