  • [1]"California Kingsnake - Lampropeltis californiae". californiaherps.com. Retrieved 2023-10-11.
    • This is a website dedicated to amphibians and reptiles native to California. Their website shows a wide variety of sources they use for their research showing validity. Also, this website provides images of the different phenotypes of these snakes which is useful for identifying different snakes.
  • [2]California Kingsnake. Lindsay Wildlife Experience. Retrieved 2021, March 11.
    • This is a wildlife experience center and animal care center giving a brief description on how California kingsnakes act during dangerous experiences. This should be reliable since it is a real life animal center.
  • [3]The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica. 2017, May 1. California king snake. Encyclopædia Britannica.
    • This source is notably reliable for accurate information and provides a really in depth description of these snakes. This also will be very helpful because it is the only source that quantifies the information.

I will use each of these articles to add just more depth about the behavior of these snakes since that is what is lacking on the original article. Since there are really good articles that specifically cover the snakes behaviors, articles that quantify data, and show phenotypes I should have a good set of websites that will add depth to that portion.
