I'm a software engineer with experience in programming, IP networking, Voice over IP, computer hardware, and computer security. I once knew things about supercomputing, databases, and semiconductor fabrication, but I only mention them now to brag.
Other interests include sports car, touring car, and F1 racing; vehicle dynamics; metalworking; travel, and beer. Only the latter two are generally combined.
I am the owner and builder of a BMW E30 race car that is a work in progress. I will obtain an SCCA competition license in 2009.
I am also a licensed airplane pilot (ASEL). Although I am no longer current, I hope regain my wings after I stop spending money on the race car.
