Pieporus was a leader of the Costoboci. He was husband to Queen Zia or Ziais and son-in-law to Tiatus [1].
Etymology
[edit]Pieporus' name could come from peabar "pepper" or pìobair "piper" [2]. Folk etymology links it to pey "to love" + porus, "son"[3].
