Sean Burns is a singer-songwriter, social movement scholar, and teacher who lives in Berkeley, California. Burns was born in Hollywood, California on February 24, 1973. Burns’ intellectual biography of the labor folklorist, shipwright, and historian Archie Green (Archie Green: The Making of a Working Class Hero published by University of Illinois Press in November of 2011^[1]) was awarded the CLR James Book of the Year Award by the Working Class Studies Association. ^[2] Burns leads the indie folk rock band Professor Burns and the Lilac.
