The State of Hawaiʻi consists of eight major islands as listed below beginning from the left of the island chain to the far right. Niʻihau, Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Molokaʻi, Lanaʻi, Maui, Kahoʻolawe, Hawaiʻi/Big Island. Each of these islands are associated with a state flower and state flower.

Hawaiian Alphabet (Pī'āpā)

The Hawaiian Alphabet or Pī'āpā is the alphabet code used to write the Hawaiian language or ʻŌlelo Hawai'i. This alphabet was adapted from the English alphabet in the 19th century by American missionaries. The alphabet consists of 12 letters, 5 vowels, and 7 consonants.
