Gajendra Singh Chaudhary, BSF, ITBP, BPR&D

Gajendra Singh Chaudhary is a retired Indian Police Service officer, who advanced to one of the highest ranks of Deputy Inspector General in Border Security Force. He has had a dynamic and valiant profession, evolving into one of the best civil architects for spearheading operations; Aviation, Training, litigation, National Police Mission, modernization of Police, Correctional Administration and Research. He is considered to be a man of valuable cognizance and unprecedented humility.

Personal Life

Mr. Gajendra Singh Chaudhary was born on 13th November 1958 in the culturally wealthy and traditionally enriching state of Madhya Pradesh, India. He married Mrs. Sanhita Chaudhary on 28th January 1987. Mr Chaudhary's wife has constantly been his benevolent partner and supporter in personal and professional life respectively. Presently Mr. Chaudhary lives in Najafgarh, New Delhi with his family.

Education

Mr. Gajendra Singh Chaudhary has been an avid learner throughout his life and his education background is an exceptional demonstration of the same. He obtained his first and second degree from Vikram University in Bachelor of Science in 1977 and in Master of Science in 1979, respectively. Later, he pursued and successfully completed Master of Business Administration in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. His unparalleled approach towards academia was soon followed by obtaining Bachelor of Laws from Jiwaji University in 1995. Mr. Chaudhary's diligence towards learning has not been limited to the concrete walls of afore-mentioned higher institutions and expands to the following aspects:

  2. Completed Combat Phase – 2 (CDO) Course from Border Security Force (BSF) Academy Tekanpur, India in the year 1986.

Career

After his retirement from service in 2018, Mr Chaudhary now works toward pedagogic and educative welfare by working as a Chief Administrative Officer in Delhi World Public School, Kandaghat, Himachal Pradesh.

BPR&D

Mr. Chaudhary has a distinguished record of coordinating between Government, Ministry and Embassy to achieve national security and capacity building objectives. He has vast experience of Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), where he worked for more than 5.5 years as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) - TRG, MOD, CA, and NPM, applying his proficiency in policy formulation, project direction, coordination, logistic management and training at national and international levels to earnest service. His well experienced background in independently leading large teams/groups in India and abroad to achieve organizational goals assisted him in revamping police infrastructure and steered by the aim to make the facilities more women friendly. He remained actively involved in planning, preparing and executing various training modules for Indian Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Police Officers from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and friendly countries, while supervising five central Detective Training School located in various part of country.

Three Member Mission to Afghanistan

Mr. Gajendra Singh Chaudhary led the three members committee who were responsible for a militant-resource-based mission to Afghanistan.Being an exceptional leader, strategist, security and training analyst with hands on experience of handling complex security situations, conflict management and capacity building, he was the most suitable person to be involved in a mission of delivering basic high-tech and trailblazing equipment to the Afghan National Police.


Rabha-Garo Conundrum

The upheaval between the ethnic group belonging to the Rabha and Garo community in Goalpara District of Assam and East Garo Hills district of Meghalaya during December 2010 and January 2011 demanded significant concern of the nation and service personnel. The conflict arose because of demand for political frameworks by the Rabha Community. For quite some time, the Rabhas had been agitating in the Garo Hills for gaining Scheduled Tribe status. But the Garos were opposed to it for which the Rabhas had been declaring bandhs to press their demand. In order to initiate harmonious relations between the two communities, Mr. Gajendra Singh Chaudhary initiated a diminutive proposal and organized a cricket match between the two communities. His philanthropic gesture made a significant impact on the ethnic crisis.

BSF Air Wing

Mr. Chaudhary also has vast experience in aviation as commandant of Border Security Force (BSF) Air Wing, which has Embraer, Beechcraft Super King Air, Avro, HAL Dhruv, HAL Light Utility Helicopter, MI-17 iv (Army Registered) Helicopters. He was Commandant of BSF Air Wing for 4 years and raised the BSF rotary wing.


Jammu & Kashmir

His background in law marshalled various legal works and directed his path to work as litigation officer and dealt various Habeas corpus Petition and other Writ Petition at High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Srinagar.

Education Sector

Mr. Gajendra Singh Chaudhary holds extensive experience in preparing DPR for National level projects towards Indian Coast Guard Academy, Central Detective Training School (CDTS), Central Academy for Police Training (CAPT) Bhopal, Traffic management Institute & Counterinsurgency and Anti-Terrorism Schools. He is now actively working as Chief Administrative Officer in DWPS Kandaghat, Himachal Pradesh.


Other Works & Expertise

  • He Organized National Conference for Heads of Prisons of States and union territories of India where various issues pertaining to prison inmates including involvement of Non-governmental organization (NGO) in Prison & Convectional Administration were discussed.
  • He organized 4 National TRG symposiums of Heads of Police TRG institutes where various issues relating to capacity building of state & central police were discussed.
  • He remained actively involved in Homeland security dialogue with United States (U.S.A.).
  • Mr. Chaudhary has solid management skills, capable of leading & motivating individuals and teams to maximize levels from the front, while setting personal examples and forming cohesive team environments. He is an exceptional communicator who laid the troops in many encounters in J&K, Punjab & NE.

  • Received a Commendation Card for outstanding efforts for early finalization of HCP in High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in the year 1997.
  • Received Commendation Roll in recognition of his contribution in expeditious finalization of large number of court cases of Kashmir FTR in September 1997.
  • Received a commendation roll for his excellent performance in an Encounter killings by police at the Budgam districton 27 July, 1998.
  • Received a Commendation Roll for his excellent performance in an encounter at Sopore in the year 1999.
  • Received a DG's Commendation Roll in recognition of his significant contribution in the smooth conduct of Bihar State Assembly Election in the year 2010.
  • Received a Commendation Certificate in recognition of outstanding performance of task and duties for successfully organizing the 31st Symposium of Heads of Police Training Institution held at Chandigarh in December 2011.
  • Commendation Certificate in recognition of his excellent work with devotion and dedication during the years, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015.
  • Received a Commendation Certificate for successfully organizing 7th Women in Police and workshop at Chandigarh for women investigating offers in the year 2011.
  • Received an Appreciation Letter from Director general of police in the year 2016 for his commitment during the 5th National Conference of Heads of Prisons of States & UTs.
  • Received a Commendation Card in recognition of his professional acumen, high degree of professionalism and supervising abilities which resulted in commendable achievements in operational and administrative training of the FIR in the year 2017.
