Tangobot3 is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) bot that monitors the Help desk, New contributors' help page, and Requests for feedback and reports any new topics. It resides at the Wikipedia help channel, #wikipedia-en-help. The bot is programmed in PHP. Features Checks monitored pages for new topics every 3 minutes and reports them Can be forced to do a check UTF-8 compatible Flood-proofed Commands recognized Note: each of these commands is logged. Command Description Required user mode Tangobot3 Returns a message describing the bot's functions None Tangobot3 report Performs a live check of all monitored pages (useful only for debug purposes; do not use unnecessarily) Voiced or Operator Tangobot3 search s (where s is the search string) Searches the Nubio database using the specified search string None Tangobot3 see i (where i is the entry ID) Returns a URL for the Nubio entry with the specified ID. Use the IDs returned by the search function (IDs are denoted by being surrounded in parentheses) None
