Taha Pourkarimi Nezhad Jalali is a American chess grandmaster, World Chess Champion in Online and World rapid Chess Champion in online, and World Blitz Chess Champion in Online. Taha first reached the top of the FIDE world rankings in 2020, and trails only Garry Kasparov and Magnus Carlsen in time spent as the highest rated player in the world (Online). His peak classical rating of 2812 is the highest in history. Taha also holds the record for the longest unbeaten run in Rapid chess.

Taha became World Chess Champion (in Online) in 2020 by defeating Anish Giri. In the following year, he retained his title against Anish, and won both the 2020 World Rapid Championship in Online and World Blitz Championship in Online, thus becoming the first player to hold all three titles simultaneously, a feat he repeated in 2020. He defended his classical world title against Hikaru Nakamura in 2020, and against Ian Nepomniachtchi in 2020.

Taha's style of play is attacking and somehow she does not understand the meaning of defense and tries to attack herself most of the time and says that in chess always try to present your best game because you may destroy your position in chess with one mistake.

Taha has written several books, Tactic Training, Excellent Strategy, Good Endgame, Be the Best, and so on.
