Susan Wright, MA, founded the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom in 1997, and currently volunteers as Executive Director. She also volunteers for the advocacy committee for AASECT, the APA’s Division 44 "Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity" BDSM Task Force, and the Kink Clinical Practice Guidelines. Susan’s community-based research focuses on discrimination and violence against alt-sex practitioners, consent practices and attitudes, and the mental and physical health of alt-sex practitioners, with 20 papers published in peer review journals. Working on adding the American Law Institute's revised Model Penal Code on Sexual Assault Section 213.10. Affirmative Defense of Explicit Prior Permission for consent to the erotic use of force or restraint (BDSM/kink), and correcting misrepresentations of consent in BDSM.
