Kurmun Ishaneshwar Gajan Utsab(or Gajan festival or Kurmun Ishaneshwar Gajan Festival) is a very famous festival, celebrated during the Bengali month of Choitro[1] in the village Kurmun. The villagers worship Lord Shiva in this festival. The interesting features of this festival is that the Sanyashi(A type of special devotee) dance with the nara mundu(Skull of a Skeleton)[2]. This festival span three days - first day is known as "fal", second day is "Nil" and third day is called "Charak". Though the main festival is for three days, the festive mood starts much earlier. A mela(fair) is set up for one week
