Dr Gokul Bora was born on 5th October 1944 in Jhanji Tamuli Gaon, Jorhat to Late Ghana Kanta Borah and Late Aikon Bora.

Dr. Bora was born on 5th October, 1944 in JhanjiiTamuliGaon, Jorhat to Late Ghana Kanta Borah and Late Aikon Bora. He did his schooling from Jorhat Government High School and passed out his matriculation exam in 1959. In the year 1961, he completed his Intermediate Science from Cotton College and pursued his MBBS degree from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh in 1966, followed by MD in Pediatrics from K.S Children’s Hospital of Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi University in 1971. Before that, in 1969, he received his diploma in child health from Assam Medical College. Presently, he is serving as a Child Specialist cum Neonatologist at Bora Children’s Clinic, located in R.G Baruah Road, located near Guwahati Commerce College in Guwahati, Assam.
