Mandapakala is a small village at banks of river Krishna in Koduru mandal, Diviseema, Krishna District, Andhra_Pradesh. It is famous for its rice(paddy) & prawn cultivation. Its locally grown 'Tiger Prawns' are very famous all over the world.
Geography
[edit]Mandapakala is located at 15.98805 Lattitude and 81.06701 Longitude with a population of around 6500 persons. The village is around 6.5 kms from the mandal head-quarter Koduru and around 25 kms from district head-quarter Machilipatnam. The main language spoken here is Telugu (Telugu_language). The pincode for this village is 521328 and the nearest post-office is Koduru.
Local Festival
[edit]There is a renewed temple for local goddess NANCHARAMMA TALLI, who is considered to be very powerfull and all the locals celebrate SAMBARALU(festival) once a year which lasts for 3 days. All the people of surrounding villages come here for darshanam. The other celebrations (SAMBARALU) that are done here is of POTURAJU BABU sambaram and ANKAMMA TALLI sambaram.
