Chinese surnames are treated inconsistently in Wikipedia. Some have their own articles ("Blah (surname)"), others are a note in a disambiguation page, while still others aren't mentioned at all.
Where the surname is not mentioned at all, I have linked it to "Blah (surname)" for interested editors to create future articles.
Where the surname is mentioned in a disambiguation page, and
the treatment is miniscule, e.g. in Qian, I have not linked to the disambiguation page, but instead to a non-existent "Blah (surname)" page;
the treatment is extensive, e.g. in Zhou, I have linked to the relevant part of the disambiguation page.
Where a surname article exists, and
the surname shares an article with others of similar pronunciation (e.g. Li (surname)), I have linked to the relevant section of that page. In the case of the Li (surname), even though the whole article mostly focuses on 李, the treatment of the other surnames is chaotic. Hence I have linked to the prominent people sections, which are the only sections directly relevant to each surname;
the surname has its own article, I have linked to that article.
