Biography

SubstandardLightbulb (SubLight for short) is a 24-year-old female currently living in Henderson, Nevada. She has a degree in fine arts, and despite her artistic talent she currently works at a law firm, doing the bidding of her paralegals and attorneys. In her free time, she likes to work out, browse the internet, draw, play videogames, and spend quality time with her fiance, friends, and pets. She has recently taken an avid interest in health and fitness, particularly diet and exercise, due to her father suffering from a stroke in 2005 and her growing realization that she is one of many Americans at risk for hypertension and related health issues.

Location, Location, Location

SubLight was born in Slidell, Louisiana. Because of her father's job in the oil industry, the family made several moves over the years: Tulsa, Oklahoma; Allen, Texas; Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; Jackson, Mississippi; Sublette, Kansas. While in Kansas, her father changed jobs, which took the family to Las Vegas, Nevada. More shuffling of employment ensued, resulting in a move to Florissant, Missouri, then back to Las Vegas. In 2006, SubLight moved in with her fiance of four years, and she now calls Henderson home.

Education

Because of the amount of moves she made in her early life, SubLight has had the opportunity to sample the education systems in different regions, as well as one outside of the US. She came to the opinion that the farther west one went, the more "dumbed-down" the schools were; whether this is because of the location or the amount of time that passed, or both, she does not know.

SubLight graduated from high school in 2000, and spent far too much time at community college afterwards. Her main areas of study were fine arts, English, and foreign languages, particularly German and Spanish.
