Phie Ambo Anne-Sophie Ambo Nielsen (Born 6th of December 1973). Danish documentary filmmaker, member of Danish Documentary Productions. Educated at the National Film School of Denmark in 1999. Lives in Copenhagen with her husband, animation filmmaker Anders Morgenthaler, the creator of Copenhagen Bombay. The couple has two girls, Viola and Juno. Phie Ambo has an intimate method of filming - one woman one camera, no lighting. This allows her to get very close to her subjects.
