Vandalism 1.1
Vandalism 1.1 assignment
Okay, I'll answer that question now, if you wouldn't mind. Hmm, can I answer the questions gradually? Well, here are my first 2 answers.
Vandalism is an unconstructive or unhelpful edit to an article, such as page blanking, removing of sections, adding nonsense or foul language, adding shock images etc. Basically an edit that is obviously unhelpful to the article. Correct
Obvious indicators of a vandalism edit whilst patrolling recent changes are- Edit summary says "Blanked the page" (however this may be a user's own talk page they blanked, which may not be vandalism), "replaced the page with ...", indication a very large number of characters removed, or an edit made by an anonomous IP (vandalism edits are more commonly made by anonomous users) Steve Crossin (talk) 05:32, 29 February 2008 (UTC) Correct
Undoing vandalism-
Click on the "last" tab at the top of the screen (next to CSD and RPP)
See the current revision, if that is the one with vandalism, click "undo"
Write justification in the edit summary, generally rv vandalsim is suitable. Then save the page.Correct
That would depend. A user blanking their own talk page, or user page, generally shouldn't get a warning. However, if it was of an article that they blanked, they should get a Uw-delete1 warning, for a first offence. For subsequent offences, higher level templates should be given (lv2,3,4). And if they have committed a similar offence recently, the next warning level up should be given. I hope that makes sense. Correct - Makes perfect sense
Again, that would depend. If they added that line of text to the Sandbox, then, a warning is not given. If they added it to an article, and it was their first vandalism edit, then they would be given a level1 vandalism warning. If recent vandalism occured, then a higher warning level would be given. Does that make sense? Correct
By clicking the "watch" tab that is with Twinkle, or, when making an edit/revert, by ticking the box "watch this page" Correct
Misusing these tools can get you blocked. Correct
Well done, 100% Tiptoetytalk 22:44, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
