www.stefanosfolinasart.com Stefanos Folinas is a Greek artist living in Trikala, Greece. Since 2014, he has successfully taught himself different artistic methods. Through his work as a cartographer and hints of abstraction, he was able to develop his native figurative paintings.

Folinas' paintings have an illustrative quality, full in movement and colours. His work is characterised by these contrasts in colour, the texture of the materials, the darkness and the light. Incorporating sentiments of pain, protest and affirmation, his freedom of expression induces an emotional and revealing quality that mesmerises the viewer.

Crossing the Boundaries of Painting Mediums

Folinas' work consists of a unique combination of an expressionist and figurative imagery which is executed with a perfect balance. He creates his art largely in a spontaneous manner and so he is often guided by his emotions. Working primarily with acrylic, he lets himself be carried away within the lines, colour and form.

Stefanos Folinas has accumulated recognition across Greece and abroad, displaying his work in places such as The Chili Art Gallery, Athens and Inspire Art Gallery, Dublin. He now sets his sights on expanding his reach internationally to take his art to the next level.
