Wayne Curtis Michael Hart, (born Novemer 19, 1952), is a Canadian professional wrestler and wrestling referee. He is best known for his work in Stampede Wrestling and for his numerous appearances for WWE. Hart is the son of professional wrestling promoters Stu and Helen Hart, he was their fourth child of twelve and was Stampede Wrestling perennial and most recognizable referee.

As a referee

Hart always acted as a heroic and sympathetic character as a referee, a role he inherited from Cedric Hathaway, as oposed to Sandy Scott and later Ron Hayter who were also long lasting Stampede referees but portraied themselves in a villanous light.^[11] Wayne's duties as referee were often filled in by his brother younger Dean when Wayne was sick, Dean appeared in his character as a less traditional "babyface" light than Wayne, being more a competent, strict and fair referee as opposed to a heroic one, to differentiate their characters more.^[12] ^[13] ^[14] ^[15]
