Jason Loscalzo (born April 13, 1975) is an American football Coach and currently the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the NFL's Chicago Bears.[1]. He's of a modern mindset that focuses on core strength and efficiency, not high volume. Loscalzo has been certified by CSCS, SCCC, SPN and USAW Level I.
Coaching career
[edit]Loscalzo began his career as a strength and conditioning student assistant at Humboldt State University. He was later strength and conditioning assistant for Arkansas, Nevada and Marshall.
In 2003, Loscalzo was hired the top assistant strength and conditioning coach and director of sports nutrition for the Auburn University football team. He also served as the head strength and conditioning coach for baseball and softball.
From January 2007 to January 2012 Loscalzo served as the director of strength and conditioning at Boston College.
In 2012 he worked for coach Mike Leach at Washington State, as a strength and conditioning coach. At WSU, Loscalzo was responsible for all aspects involved in the development, coordination, implementation and supervision of the strength and conditioning programs for the Cougars football team.
On February 14, 2018, Loscalzo was hired by the Chicago Bears as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, replacing Jason George, who was fired after the end of the 2017 season.
Personal life
[edit]Loscalzo received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 1999 from Humboldt State University, and master’s in athletic administration from Nevada in 2001. He and his wife Nicci have two sons, JP and Luke and one daughter, Gianna.
