Cook-Off

The 5 teams from each three groups have to plate a dish for Colin, Curtis, Gary as well as the other group in this round. The 3 winning teams will be decided by the judge and will be advanced to the next round, while the fourth-placed team will be advanced to the Sudden Death Match, and other team will be eliminated.

  • Description — The first five teams from Group 1 have to prepare a random dish for the two judges Curtis Stone and Colin Fassnidge. After the round, the judges will decide the three winning teams to join the Top 11, while the fourth-placed team will be advanced to the Sudden Death Match, and other team will be eliminated.

People's Choice 1: Market Food

  • Description — Teams were given 90 minutes to buy their produce, cook and set up their stalls ready to sell their meals to the public. They were to set their own pricings and food offers. The team who made the most money won the People's Choice, whilst Pete and Manu chose the two weakest teams directly into the first Sudden Death Cook-Off. The winners of the People's Choice were not only safe from elimination themselves, but were able to choose one other team to be safe with them.

  • Description — For this challenge teams cooked and served at a High Tea party. Guests were invited to taste the food and voted for their favourite dish. The team with the most votes won People's Choice and will were able to choose one other team to be safe with them. Judges Pete and Colin sent the two weakest teams to Sudden Death.

  • Description — Teams headed to Sydney's Luna Park to serve fairground food to emergency service workers and families for the annual 'Give Back' day. The public voted for their favourite dish sending that team straight to the Top 8 and will were able to choose one other team to be safe with them, while the bottom two compete in another Sudden Death.

  • Description — Teams were asked to make fine dining seafood dishes for 100 sailors. Guests were invited to taste the food and score the dish(es) out of 10. The winners of the People's Choice were not only safe from elimination themselves, but were able to choose one other team to be safe with them. Judges Pete and Colin sent the two weakest teams to Sudden Death.
