Cruising with Jane McDonald is a British travel television series first broadcast on Channel 5 in 2017. It is presented by singer-songwriter Jane McDonald and follows McDonald as she embarks on various cruise ships across the world. The first episode aired on 10 February 2017 and has since gone on for a total of 7 series.
The series has been a critical and commercial success. The first series averaged 2 million viewers per episode, gaining 8.4 percent of the total UK viewing audience.[1] The second series aired throughout September 2017 and averaged 1.7 million viewers per episode.[1] The third season aired in early 2018 and was followed by the fourth series which garnered 2.4 million viewers and a 10.8 per cent audience share.[1] The television series also was the first Channel 5 programme to be awarded a BAFTA TV Award, when it won Best Feature in 2018.[1]
