[edit]About Me
[edit]I am a teenager in the Pacific North West, I was born in Ukraine then ended up moving to Washington state in 2008. As I was growing up I was always fascinated with how things moved like cars, planes, and even robots made out of legos. While discovering many great things in the world of cars and engineering I often found my self outside playing various sports such as soccer, basketball, and football. Although those events seem like a lifetime ago I do still enjoy the same things just in different forms. I spend a lot of time looking at cars, striving to learn something new about them everyday. I did play basketball in school for a few years but I slowly distanced my self with that sport and mostly played volleyball with my church. As of a few years ago right about when the pandemic started I found my self holding a camera in my hands, ever since then I've been striving to build a carrier out of my passion for photography doing so I've been able to connect two passions into one. Photographing cars is something I do every time I get the chance, I just meet up with someone from the car community I take some pictures for my Instagram page and I just spend a moment or two to admire their build and just the beauty of the car. My passion for photography is only growing I even found myself taking pictures for events at my church and I do not plan on stopping any time soon. Even though it is more likely to make money from flipping burgers[1] I won't give up on my passion and making my carrier.
My Wikipedia Interests
[edit]If I stay on wikipedia and choose to be active on here I will try to use it to my best advantage. As I try to do with everything I will only invest my time into something that may benefit me in any way, in this case I would most likely end up doing a lot of studying on photography since there is always something to learn about it and the boundaries are very wide, I would also most likely catch myself sharing my own experiences and my own research that I've made before on that certain topic.
Article Evaluation
[edit]Cars is a big part of my life so when this assignment came up my first thoughts was to evaluate an article about cars to see what information others get after they search up something like "custom car". That being said I visited the custom car article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: relativity of the article to the topic, is this article up to date and if are the links on the article are active and relative to the article.
Relativity of the Article
[edit]Although I expected that this article will have a lot of information of the process of customizing a car, this article goes into some details of different aspects of customizing a car. One of the things that stood up to me was how deep the article went into about just the paint of the car, this article has paragraphs of important information of aspects of the car that must be known to customize your own car. After I read trough this article I could connect almost every single sentence to the topic of the article and definitely learned something needed. Based on my judgment this article is fully relevant and I would recommend this to someone who is doing some studying on a relevant subject.
Up to date?
[edit]While reading this article it gave some particular information about a particular topic claiming it will work for almost any car, doing some side studying the information was in fact correct and up to date. After I was done reading the article I checked to see when was the article last updated which was January 11th of 2022 which means that this article is still active and being worked on. After going trough some links I noticed that a few of them where not active. Over all I would be comfortable taking in the information on this article but not so much the articles that where linked on it.
Relativity of Links
[edit]The links are relative and for the most part active. Going trough some of the links the reader would discover more information about a certain topic which is more detailed. Although not all of the links are active some of them would be very helpful, some of the links contain double amount of information than the article I am currently evaluation. I would not recommend for other readers to trust the other articles without doing some side research to make sure the article is true or at least updated. There is a link or a "cite" in almost every sentence which is the reason why I couldn't go trough all of them, but from what I have seen I am comfortable saying that yes the links that are active and are indeed relative.
Conclusion
[edit]Overall, this article is helpful and holds valuable information based on the topic that the reader would be looking for. The article is live and people are still working on this page, It was recently edited on the 11th of January. The information given would be useful for situations in this day and age. Articles links are all over this page and so are sources, there are everywhere and active for the most part. Even though some inactive links have been found that is only a few out of many. Gathering this information I would indeed recommend this article to others depending on the specifications of their research.
