Templates
[edit]Be aware I've reverted your inclusion of a self-referencing template, please see Wikipedia:General disclaimer. Anything can change, at any moment, a template isn't needed to state this. Please also read WP:ASR. Matthew 07:29, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not re-insert non-encyclopaedic templates that are under deletion discussion, it's very naughty! Matthew 07:45, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
I see that you have chosen to revert the above article twice without offering a reason. Kindly state your reasoning before future reverts. Thank you.--Huaiwei 15:27, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- I told you to read, kid. The lists have been split into multiple pages. They were not deleted.--Huaiwei 15:33, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- If you arent happy about asthetics, you are most welcome to "beautify" it, not revert it. You are also most welcome to express your displeasure in the article's talk page instead of ranting like this. Finally, kindly sign off your comments. I don't think that is too hard to do for you?--Huaiwei 15:40, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on World's largest airline. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors.
I have reported your 3RR violation to the administrators. I have to do this, since you have chosen to ignore my warnings, and refuse to engage in dignified and reasonable discussions for an amicable outcome.--Huaiwei 03:47, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- You have plenty of time to discuss the said dispute, but you chose to revert. And this is after my warnings too. If you feel you have not violated 3RR, kindly make your views felt at your 3RR violation notification page.--Huaiwei 03:56, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- I am always listening. It is just that you have not been saying anything worth my time.--Huaiwei 07:42, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- If you can read basic English, I think I did mention time and again that the current article which only lists airlines by passengers carried and fleet size is not adequate, and that has been one of the primary reason why I see a need to trim it. Your "solution" does not address this at all. Also, kindly discuss this in Talk:World's_largest_airlines#New_format_Redux. This is not some kind of "compromise" between you and me alone. You have an entire community out there to answer to.--Huaiwei 12:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Quit attempting to throw the ball in the other's court if you have nothing new to propose. I will be reinstating changes to the article very soon if no new protests are lodged.--Huaiwei 07:42, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- I have a problem understanding what you are referring to.--Huaiwei 03:51, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to the Law Enforcement Wikiproject
[edit]Welcome Sparrowman980/Archive1
Thank you for joining the Law Enforcement Wikiproject on the English Wikipedia! As you would have guessed we are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to law enforcement
Since you now are a member you get to have our userbox or banner on your userpage! To add these use:
- {{User WikiprojectPolice}} -- our userbox, or
- {{Lawenforcementmember}} -- our member banner.
Here are some more tips to get you started:
- Creating articles: See here for articles you can create, but don't forget to add [[Category:Law enforcement]] to the base of the article and our project banner to the talk page of the article using {{WPLE}}
- Participate on our talk page: It is highly recommended that you watchlist it. There are also a number of small projects on the talk page as well that may be of interest to you!
- Check the bulletin board: For news and information, please read the bulletin board regularly or add it to you user-page using: {{Lawenforcementbulletinboard}}
- Improve an article: Click here to find all the really short articles, pick one from that list and improve it. When you are done go to the talk page of that article and removed {{WPLE| class=Stub}} the bit in bold and another editor will be along to see how well you have done and reassess the article to a much higher class.
All members are reminded:
- That this project aims for: No vandalism, no conflict and if particular articles in this project are suffering from vandalism, edit wars or talk-page abuse, please add it to the Article Watch List
In a nutshell:
- Dep. Garcia ( Talk + | Help Desk | Complaints ) (Project Coordinator)
- SGGH speak! (Assistant Coordinator)
- Or any project coordinator listed on the main project page or members page.
Again, Thank you and Welcome
Regards
Dep. Garcia ( Talk + | Help Desk | Complaints ) 15:33, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on 2WIRE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. P4k 02:51, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Improper image license
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Image:2WIRE article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. Naconkantari 03:18, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to 2WIRE. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.2wire.com/?p=65 in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:2WIRE with a link to where we can find that note;
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:2WIRE with a link to the details.
Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:2WIRE saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.
It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Butseriouslyfolks 03:23, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from articles you have created yourself, as you did with 2WIRE. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.--P4k 03:50, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
2WIRE
[edit]A tag has been placed on 2WIRE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. SMC89 04:37, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit]I wanted to add Abu Dhabi Investment Council http://www.tradearabia.com/news/newsprint.asp?Article=124286&Sn=BANK
Abu Dhabi bank opens Swiss branch Posted: Wednesday, May 23, 2007
The National Bank of Abu Dhabi said it opened a branch in Geneva offering private banking and trade finance services.
The bank aims to expand business with energy firms and wealthy clients.
The company said Geneva was important to international trade, especially in oil and energy.
GCC lenders such as NBAD and National Bank of Kuwait are expanding overseas as competition in their home markets intensifies, and as they seek to compete with international banks such as HSBC and Standard Chartered looking to tap the Middle East's wealth.
NBAD, the largest lender in the UAE, is listed but 73-per cent owned by the government-controlled Abu Dhabi Investment Council.
'In Geneva we will draw a high-end client base that is attracted by security, stability, innovation, performance, respect for privacy, top-quality advice and all the components of Swiss Banking know-how,' said Khaled Suleiman, head of the Geneva branch, in a statement. Reuters

Welcomes
[edit]When welcoming users, please remember to leav the {{subst:welcome}} on their user talk page and not the userpage as that is where messages are posted. All the best. The Sunshine Man 08:52, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletions
[edit]Please do not mass tag as nonsense/no context articles that clearly make sense and are in context. Agathoclea 09:04, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'll second that and many thanks to Agathoclea for reverting. Articles about geography in non-western countries are badly needed on Wikipedia. However, we have comparatively few wikipedians from the third world, so these articles often don't exist. Or they may be only a single line added by a worldly western wikipedian. I see you're from California so perhaps I can give you a comparison. The article Khet you tagged for speedy deletion is the equivalent of the administrative division State. Click on those two links and compare the detail and the number of edits on the two articles. You can see we have a way to go to become a truly international encyclopedia. Anyway, cheers and happy editing. Paxse 14:38, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Request page protection
[edit]I'm just curious as to why you requested page protection of your user page because of a dispute when you seem to be the only editor (I'm not an admin, I'm genuinely asking out of curiosity). Angus Lepper(T, C, D) 00:36, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
