Sounds From The Attic is a dynamic duo made up of OnetakeCarter & Whatisiv. A multi-talented rap group, that bridges old school hip hop and new wave sound. Their juxtaposition in tone and cadence is attention grabbing and genre-bending with international potential. They are incredible MCs’ with multi-layered lyrics and the ability to deliver them with a Busta Rhymes concise speed or Drake style suave. In an attic just like yours or mine, OnetakeCarter and WhatisIV make magic happen. Performers both on and off camera, they write, film, edit, and score their content and music videos. Since launching in November ’21, they have performed in 100 shows around LI, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and ATL while simultaneously releasing songs and featured music videos. They’ve won several showcases, some of which landed them opportunities to perform at SOB’s & open for Don Q. It’s just the start for this duo as they work with top notch producers like Mitch Mula, Dilemma, Big Yount, and B Howard. They’ve had several impactful moments so far: their track Tulips & Roses made it onto Spotify’s release radar playlist, 2 of their songs made it onto KennyBeats Valentine’s Day album and they were asked by 300 Entertainment to represent Long Island in their 300U: New York Music Month series. With an ambitious release plan and growing fan base Sounds From The Attic has no intention of taking their foot off the gas. While they may be in the attic, SOFTA is laying the foundation for a music takeover.
