Christianity : An Incient Religion?

[edit]Many people live empty lives without knowing what to expect or do with their lives; this is all a result of living a life with no purpose.” The saddest part of people’s belief today is the one where they believe Christianity is a religion… [No ways!]” Jacques (1983). It is always best to begin with the basics to get everyone on the same level so that they can make their own judgements based on how and what they have understood.
So what is Christianity? What is Religion? Are they any similarities…perhaps any differences? Well let’s find out. Macedo E. (2007) describes Christianity as “...Imitating Christ…” It is a life within. He further states that Religion on the other hand “…As a way of behaving in relation to God... [it is on the…] outside appearance.” Christianity is a “free gift” (Romans 8:32) because “Genuine [Christian living] requires the function of [The Holy Spirit...And] not a historic founder [only]…but He [Jesus] is the vital essence of Christianity...Which function[s] within receptive humanity.” ’ originally was used by unbelievers… to those who spoke of having “Christ in them”. Christians are supposed to be those people who manifest Christ within… To be a Christian has nothing to do with going to church, singing in the choir, paying tithes… [Etc].
I personally think, having gone through and analyzed the different views and opinions raised by the authors, that my judgement will be based on what God himself has said; that He has not come to give us a new “religion” but life in abundance (John 10:10).Christianity is a life lived outside from the inward man which is a result of a personal relationship with God and not “emotion” centered.Jesus said in John 14:6” I am the way, the truth and the life, NO Man cometh to the Father [except] by me.”
Conclusion
[edit]People have taken Christianity and put it in combined jar of religion, even to the extent of classifying it the “best religion” in today’s world. But in actual facts, people shouldn’t only make conclusions based on their own beliefs and circumstances around them.
