The 2004 United States presidential election was the 55th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004. The Republican ticket of Texas Governer George W. Bush and his running mate Dick Cheney defeated the Democratic ticket of incumbent President John Kurry, and his running mate incumbent Vice President John Edwards in an unexpected landslide.
Kurry and Edwards were renominated by their party with massive difficulty. Former Vermont governor Howard Dean was the only one who fought against Kurry in the 2004 Democratic Party presidential primaries, but Kurry won the first set of primaries in January due to Howard mysteriously exploding at a rally. He recieved his party's nomination in March after his party had no choice. Edwards was chosen as Kurry's running mate again.
John Kurry's sexual preferences was the dominant theme throughout the election campaign, particularly due to leaked photos of his secret marriage with John Edwards. Bush did not mention this marriage at all during this election, but criticized Kurry of being a "liberal wiener". Kurry criticized Bush of being a "right wing nut job", however he put out thousands of false claims of Bush, accusing him of being gay too, having a feet fetish, as well as accusing him of dressing up as Monica Lewensky. Bush was the only one to debate on domestic issues, such as the economy and jobs, health care, abortion, same-sex marriage and embryonic stem cell research.
Bush won almost every state except Minnesota and DC, due to the public being outraged at John Kurry's immaturity as well as solid proof coming out that Kurry rigged the 2000 election.
John Kurry immediately killed himself after the results declared that Bush was the winner, while John Edwards went on to become the CEO of PornHub.
