MR.CHU Composition and Lyric[edit]“Mr. Chu” is an upbeat dance track composed by renowned music producer Double Side Kick and written by female lyricist Seion. This is the second time Double Side Kick and A Pink have teamed up since the girls released their digital single “Good Morning Baby” in January, in celebration of their 1,000 days since their debut.[1] Mr. Chu is a refreshing and bright song that expresses the thrilling and exciting feeling when a couple in love shares their first kiss together. [2] 'Mr. Chu' and its music video, mark a turn towards the mature side for the icons of lovely youth, while still keeping a part of the innocent, nostalgic vibe that makes A Pink so loved. "Mr. Chu" is a pop dance song that expresses the thoughts of having a first kiss with a loved one. A variety of effect synths were combined with a lively rhythm for A Pink's bright, popping charm. Apink released two versions of "Mr.Chu" in the "Pink Blossom" album. The music and lyrics for the original version of "Mr. Chu" were handled by DMTN member David Kim (T-Ara N4, NU’EST), Duble Sidekick (Girl’s Day, SISTAR), and Seion (Davichi, Hyolyn). While the funk-infused “Mr. Chu (Onstage Version)” produced by Glory Face (K-Pop Star 3, Girl’s Day), as their lead single.[3] Composition and Lyric - new[edit]"Mr. Chu" is a pop-dance song composed by hitmaker Duble Sidekick and Seion who previously work with Davichi and Hyorin. The lyrics was written by Duble Sidekick and David Kim ex DMTN member who previously worked with T-Ara N4 and NU’EST. This is the second collaboration of the group with the Duble Sidekick after they released their digital single “Good Morning Baby” in January.[4] Mr. Chu tells a story about a girl who's falling in love for the first time and sharing the heart fluttering moment of their first kiss. The lyric is about a bolder but still shy way of confessing love.[2] References[edit]
