The general idea is that the "list" articles mentioned here should really be more like "comparison" articles – that is, expanded beyond a pure list via merging of article content. A level of detail slightly below that currently present in Dance Dance Revolution (1998 video game), minus the song lists, would be appropriate for such a list article. (That article was originally intended only to cover the first Dance Dance Revolution game, but it was later expanded to list several others.)

• All individual beatmania games (sensu lato, i.e. including beatmania IIDX and III) – The standalone articles on various versions of beatmania IIDX seem unwarranted and should be merged somewhere (TBD). (ed: I am aware that some progress has already been made merging these)
  • If we don't do any mass merging, Beatmania (2006 video game) should probably be merged with Beatmania IIDX 9th Style, for the same reason Dance Dance Revolution Konamix is covered with Dance Dance Revolution 4thMix.
• Complicated split-and-re-merge case: All articles on individual Dance Dance Revolution video games/sub-series and their song lists, from:
  • All pages with titles beginning with Dance Dance Revolution
  • All pages with titles beginning with DanceDanceRevolution (all these are currently redirects)
  • All pages with titles beginning with Dancing Stage
