About me

[edit]
A picture of me with my digicam

I am a Sempai in the art of Shorin Ryu Karate. Asides from that... To find out more about me click here. In short, according to Jimbo, I'm considered "uncool". Given the contreversy behind the nature of my account I will probably not talk to you. It's not because I want to be rude, but it's because I want to avoid trouble making breaking Wikipedia rules. For example, as per WP:SOCK, I must avoid generating "an appearance of consensus, or to vote more than once, or to hide from public scrutiny." The paradox hence arises, and you must be asking,"How can you hence avoid making a consensus all while not hiding from public scrutiny? Well, it's easy, you can revert my edits and leave a message on my talk page (Public scrutiny) all you want, except I can't answer you because I must avoid the appearance of consensus. Actually, the fact that I'm even stating this may be a violation of the aforementioned rule because perhaps we are building consensus every extra word I continue to type.

Now, you can discourage me all you want, but the reality is that there is no specific policy against having a Sock! Also, though it is recommended to provide links between my shared accounts, it is not policy.

The 5 F's

[edit]

In short I must follow the rules of WP:SOCK, and in short that means I'm:

  1. Forbiden to give the impression of more support for a viewpoint.
  2. Forbiden to avoid scrutiny of other editors that have a "legitimate interest in tracking" my contributions. (Since when is stalking someone's every move legitimate but Hey! If you have a legitimate reason then just send me an email, okay!)
  3. Forbiden to do the good hand vs. the bad hand thing. (So that means I got to obey all the rules and no hand jobs. Okay!)
  4. Forbiden to circumvent the rules. (Rest assured, last time I did a 3RR was way back in 2004. And if my account was banned do you really think I'dd be saying I'm SockingIt)
  5. Forbiden administrative sockpuppet. (If I really wanted to be an admin, I would have been sending an email to all the other administrators offering them a blow job. Last I checked some RFA's end up with almost 160 some people giving support or in my case a lot of "SockingIt.") Who knows maybe one day I'll be an administrator! (Here's my request for Adminship as per the stereotype of us socks)

Legitimate use

[edit]

I want to experiment and see what it's like to be a new user. (Oh! shit, that's not going to work, because you already know I'm a sock). Well in that case I'm using this account mostly for segregation and security. I'll be putting my less worthy edits here, or at least 'dividing these up between different accounts might help preserve the [my] person's anonymity." This keeps the "heated issues" in one area. (b.t.w. Have I told you what heated issues I enjoy in one area?) Though I enjoy role playing this ain't really a role account. I may need to make some Doppelganger accounts to prevent impersonation by vandals.

I can handle all of your Meatpuppet

[edit]

This brand spanking new account is created 05:50, Friday November 22 2024 (UTC) with no real reason assides to try and follow wikipedia rules which pertain to socks. Of course you may see me adding the odd comment here and there. I will, as aforementioned, make edits to article, but don't forget, I can't talk because of them rules... (send me an email if you really want to talk) Sorry! That's only because if I'm a considered a meatpuppet, I can be treated according to the Arbcom case as one individual. Which then means I must avoid the 5 magic F's, if I don't want to get into trouble and lose both accounts. Hopefully, I won't be blocked for simply being a sock as most administrators seem do... Please remember the 5 F's before you block me! ;) Like a whore on the side of street saying "hey! Baby, want some of this!" it is considered according to Wikipedia:Canvassing "inappropriate" or "unacceptable" to have solicitations or advertise. That goes both ways, so I'm sure I'll some how end up being asked to participate in some debate eventually. Don't take it as an offense if I don't answer you... I may consider doing it but it may mean a violation of Wiki policy. If I don't answer you it's probably because you need to reread and check the aforementioned "5 F's" you!"

Familiarity

[edit]

Not surprisingly you may have noticed I'm pretty familiar with wikipedia's rules. I hope my edits will eventually catch-up to show I'm not really that brand new anymore. I'll probably go to AWP:AFD to leave some odd comments as part of my first few edit. (Of course they'll always be in accordance to the 5 F's).

Straw Man

[edit]

Personally I kind of like a nice strong Straw Man because they are built of a long stiff shafty thing. And look at that, there is no Straw Woman. That means, as per the WP:SOCK, since the account are by the person we women can technically do everything a Straw Man does... I get to wear the pants but in fact there is no real policy on Straw Women-ing! I love it! But I would never do that! (Oh! Wait, I'm doing it right now aren't I?)

When Questions Arrise

[edit]

Unfortunatelly for my "SockingIt" account, there is the 100-edit rule. This rule suggests that any account which already has more than 100 edits across a range of other articles, or has been active more generally on Wikipedia, can often be presumed not to be a sock puppet.

What the hell am I supposed to do! I won't be a sockpuppet after 100 edits? Oh! That rule is only used for "sock puppets" that are being used as part of an edit war or to distort the outcome of a vote or survey. Oh! Never mind, generally, such beliefs have been shown to be not well-founded.

Also according to WP:SOCK "Fishing" – or general trawling of users in a debate for possible sockpuppets – is not supported and requests for such checks are unlikely to be agreed to. Requests may be made at Request for CheckUser. I think it is important to see if in fact there is sockpuppetering happening. In fact, every admin should check out every user from this time on. Oh wait, what the heck am I talking about.

Humm... If ever I am incorrectly accused of not being a sock puppet, I think I will take it personally. Old users are unknown quantities. I might not stay around for while and may also make some bad edits, because of this. I think that's stereotypical though and similar to you thinking that "I do want my record to, after all, speak for itself."
