Michael Buckley (born October 25, 1964) is an American comic book writer, most notably working with Glass House Graphics CEO David Campiti on such projects as Mike Deodato's Jade Warriors and Hero Alliance. He as had books published by Image Comics, Innovation, and Avatar Press.
Early Life
[edit]Buckley is the son of Daniel J. Buckley, Jr. and Marcia M. Buckley. He grew up in New England, eventually moving around the country as he attended various schools honing his craft.
Career
[edit]In 1985, while managing the Superhero Universe comic shop in Providence, Rhode Island, he met David Campiti, who, at that time, was a freelance writer and packager of stories for various publishers. When Campiti founded Innovation, Buckley submitted his first stories, which appeared in the company's flagship title, Hero Alliance, in their quarterly spinoff book. From there he made minor contributions to the Lost in Space series. Among other stories, Buckley eventually collaborated with Campiti and superstar artist Mike Deodato on the popular series Jade Warriors, originally published by Image before moving on to Avatar Press.
