Sanjeev Chopra , born 3rd March, 1961, in Kapurthala, Punjab is a senior official in the Indian Administrative Service, currently posted as Principal Secretary, Agriculture in the Government of West Bengal, India. Chopra is the author of several books, including the academic best-seller Ten Thousand Crores which was translated to Hindi in 2005, with the sequel Towards Thirty Thousand Crores being published in 2006. Other than this, he writes a weekly column in the Garhwal Post titled AgriMatters, which was compiled into a book AgriMatters and published in 2009.
