[edit]About me
[edit]Thank you for visiting my Wikipedia page, my name is Luke. I enjoy athletics, music; specifically guitar, and cars. I couldn't be more cliché, I know. I got into sports and athletics at a young age, right around kindergarten. I played a few different sports throughout my life, including Football, Basketball, and Wrestling. However, the one that stuck with me was Baseball, I have been in love with it since the day my dad gave me his glove; which I've since lost. When I was a freshman in high school, my English teacher would occasionally play guitar for our third period class when we had down time. He played the Spanish guitar, with nylon strings. It creates a smooth, rich sound; very soft on the ears. Personally I had never thought I had the ear or mind for music, but he noticed how focused I was on his playing and offered to teach me after school some days. After I learned a few things, he let me borrow one of his guitars over the weekends throughout the semester, and that's when I discovered my second love. I began to practice consistently until I could play all of my Dad and I's favorite songs, mostly 60's and 70's rock and country. Then during my junior year, my Chemistry teacher taught me more complex techniques with steel string guitar, and even the banjo and mandolin. He and my old English teacher were in a teacher band at our school called The Loganberries, who would play at assemblies. After high school, I have continued to play guitar, but I'll admit I have taken a few steps back, as i don't find much time to play anymore. My last interest in cars comes from my dad owning a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302,(290 horsepower, 290 lb.-ft. torque), painted eight coats of Mercedes white with a pearlescent on it, with red racing stripes when he was a boy. Now, besides that being the coolest thing ever for a child to hear about, he also told me he would take it to the drag strip where he grew up and race retired cop cars, and another Mustang called The Black Pearl; which was a Mustang Boss 429, (bigger engine, weighed more, more horsepower). He says he held the unofficial quarter mile time there, too. So there you have it, you know more about me than I usually care to share.
My Wikipedia Interests
[edit]My Wikipedia interests are quite similar to my interests I shared above, sports, music, cars. There are a few more however, I am deeply interested in History and Archeology, and how we can learn from our past to change the future. I often find myself reading about the human mind and body, such as Psychology and Sports Science. Specifically I am interested in the physiological differences between people nowadays, and our ancestors; as it seems to me that humans are getting lazier, and somewhat less intelligent as a species. One last topic I sometimes find myself reading about is Space, and the possibility of extra-terrestrial life. I find both things fascinating and I probably have spent the most breath talking about that to unwilling listeners throughout the years, out of all these topics. A good example of an article I would read for an hour or two would be as follows:
Thank you again for reading my biography, I hope to contribute to Wikipedia in a productive way in the near future, thank you.
