Smita Katwe Mamarde is Indian International Swimmer. She was born in small Village of Maharashtra named Amaravati on 24th of June 1974. She started her career as a swimmer at the age of eight. She learned different techniques of swimming in Hanuman Vayam School based in Amaravati.

She was married to Rajan Katwe at age of 21. after 15 Years of successful marriage and birth of two daughters she did a huge come back into her passion by entering her name in India book of Records , Limca book of record and Asia book of record for Continuous Swimming for 12 Hours.
